          BLOOD  CAKED   /   DISORIENTATION  EVIDENT.   one  moment  fingers  are  scrabbling  at  briefcase  latches  in  a  bid  to  unveil  hidden  treasure  within   —   the  next,  world  tilts  &  air  crackles  with  blue  electricity,  shocked  inhale  frigid  &  static  filled.    momentum  is  halted  by  back  thumping  onto  solid  ground,  eliciting  a  groan  in  response   ;   legs  flail  momentarily  as  equilibrium  is  readjusted,  slippered  feet  waving  mid-air,  arms  still  clutching  object  that  caused  disruption. 

          ❛   damn  it                 !   ❜   outburst  is  automatic,  wide  eyes  finally  focusing  on  surroundings  in  more  detail.   heart   —   which  had  already  been  put  to  the  test  many  times  in  the  past  24  hours  thanks  to  prior  ABDUCTION   —   hammers  against  ribcage  in  mimicry  of  hummingbird’s  wing,  disbelief  colouring  pallid  expression. 

          words  are  barely  forced  through  lips  stained  red  with  own  blood  when  a  shuddering  BOOM  vibrates  beneath  hunched  form,  noise  breaking  through  the  static  that  bunches  between  ears  like  distorted  cotton  wool.   whole  body  flinches,  panicked  breath  only  exacerbating  tight  feeling  in  chest   —   briefcase  is  clung  to  like  a  lifeline,  the  one  semblance  of  normality  he  has  left  in  this  new  reality,   ❛   what                    ❜

Ardaun Clothing Concept Set 1

Finally got to drawing thanks to the BotW Concept Book that came in the mail today! Someday this guy is going to be a hero. I think.

Ardaun the Courageous Fool. I wanted a cocky yet friendly farm boy with high ambitions. He believes becoming a hero is the best method to picking up really cute girls. While he may not have become the kingdom's chosen savior by the goddesses, he could be a hero for another deity.

I used a Link to the Past artwork because I thought this pose was the coolest. A bit of Ralph’s hairstyle, some of Groose’s personality, and a protagonist’s courage from a late 80′s fantasy cartoon show based on a video game.
