teddy was never one to stray from danger, but this wasn’t to say he was a daredevil. he wasn’t rebellious in his every day tasks and was generally a rule abiding citizen. his work as an auror was the complete opposite, not only did it ask him to run into danger, teddy would freely do it. this was no different, to him it didn’t matter what the situation was beforehand, he just heard screaming and he ran off. he was first to the scene, pulling people out of harm’s way and showed no signs of stopping until the intruders had fled.
the rest had happened so fast and before he realised what happened or even thought about who had caused this, he was being flown to st. mungo’s. he was no stranger to these rooms, but this level of discomfort was new. he hadn’t listened to the extent of his injuries and he thanked the healers and mediwixes every step on the way. his only joy now was finally being allowed visitors. he sat up in his bed, setting aside his bowl of pumpkin pudding and gave them a smile,
‘no flowers? wow, you’re rather shite at visiting a sick lad.’
