My mum and I took a wee jaunt out to Lochinver today, stopping briefly on the way at Ardvreck Castle. Originally built by Clan MacLeod at some point in the 16th Century, there’s no longer a whole lot of it left, but it still has a very scenic location on a little promontory jutting out into Loch Assynt.
