‘are we having fun yet?’ syr & kji
@247yoori
there is an intense satisfaction, almost akin to a spiritual release that floods through jongin’s system as he spots a scene in the woods that will no doubt serve him well on his usual course of ruining lives and taking hearts. nothing cuter and more devastating that yoori, soft and delicate, wrapped in the arms of a man she clearly has romantic feelings for, and if jongin were a normal person, he supposes he would be jealous. in fact, he might act similarly to how yoori had acted earlier when she’d seen him with jennie.
oh, if only yoori could be that lucky.
unfortunately for her, he can think of much better uses of his time than something as pathetic as jealousy—that is one of those emotions he reserves for other people, as tools to control them—so instead, he merely lifts up his phone and snaps a picture, a half grin playing on the corners of his lips. he’s having a moment of deja vu; he’d done this exact same thing to sehun and his father, years ago. proof as proof can be, song yoori has a heart, and if she has a heart, it just means jongin can break it.
a few hours pass by before jongin catches yoori during one of her very few times alone around her campsite, without the other two girls. he shows up like a devil might: a light in his eyes, both hands in his pockets, a secret on his tongue. “hello yoori, how are you enjoying your camping trip?” he plasters an almost-pleasant look on his face, as though he were really asking, like he really cares, knowing she’ll see right through it. “guess what?” he pulls out his phone and holds it up, the image of her and wonshik clear as day. “so far, i’m definitely having a great time.” he grins widens.
