uhm I have favorite authors- anything literally anything by mercedes lackey is my favorite, esp her elementals masters and 1000 kingdoms books. ditto terry pratchett that man is a genius. the tiffany aching books are some of my favorite things on this earth. tamora pierce, creative genius, my favorite books by her are either daine's quartet or the circle of magic books (tons of poc and queer representation she is made of magic i swear)
i also really love the cry of the icemark by stuart hill and its sequels, i read tcoti in elementary school (YES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL) and i still fucking love it, so good.
other than that- pride and prejudice is an all-time fave, i recently read the importance of being earnest for class and loved it (the whole text is available free online and it's super short!) and uhm
