In Nina’s song, it is given, “Our Only Responsibilty is Love”.....a simple task. We’ve failed this world, living in Envy, Greed, Malice. Living for self, we’ve lost sight, drastically of what “life” is. Nothing is to be taken seriously, cold passion, dead empathy. And for all of what?? To look and sound tougher than the next? For attention of those who will forget you in a matter of minutes? A dead flower, continue denying your nourishment, continue accepting that there is sympathy in this world and shaming those for trying to love. A dead flower, your love was water, but you deemed tougher than the rest, only to prove what? Ashamed of your passion, ashamed to show your heart. You turned away from the sun, to show you were stronger. Yet we saw the withering back of weakness. It wasn’t worth it. Your potential would have flourished, and with accepting love, you would’ve accepted your beauty. Just as we would’ve. Just as we wanted to. All we wanted... but in this world, accepting responsibility is the last thing anyone wants. When our only responsibility was love. Simplicity. We’re cycling yet again...

Crash City Saints - Are You Free? (2017). Finally released after 7 years of waiting. And it was worth the wait, incredible album! This will be my pick for the best shoegaze release of 2017. Definitely have gotten better than their debut ‘Glow in the Dark Music’ which was also very good. They moved onto Saint Marie Records specializing in shoegaze music so I’m hoping they’ll get more promotions and grow their audience. Bands like this needs to get known! It’s almost like a sin that most people don’t even know or bother to check them out.
