“Hey kid, are you lost or something?” Well that’s one way to start a conversation. Looking around aimlessly hoping to find some place akin to an apartment building wasn’t going to help her. She might as well find someone who can help her out or something.

Though seeing some girl looking like a cartoon character was not the first person she expected to see the moment she decided to focus in looking around.

“Did you just get here too or?”

She had to have been dreaming. She just had to. Though she highly doubt she can dream of something as big as this city or someone as strange looking as this girl.

Waking up in a location you’re sure you didn’t fall asleep in is already jarring. Waking up lying upon a table in what felt like a considerably sketchy hospital room? Concerning. Watching a complete stranger upon a screen tell you that, essentially, you have been kidnapped?

Well, it definitely wasn’t good news.

If he could brush it off as someone’s unfortunate and poorly planned prank, he would, but a single step outside the room simply tossed that idea out the door. Ah.

Now, it’s been--no, nevermind. He doesn’t know how long it’s been since he started moving to make sense of things; and he’d stepped out into the middle of the day, to boot. As if he felt at all refreshed to begin with, now it felt as though some hellish feeling were enveloping him. With the heat of broad daylight bearing down upon him... ah, maybe he was dreaming.

Yes, yes, that would be nice, wouldn’t it? If that were the case, he’d prefer to wake up for real sooner than later, but--

he turns a corner and comes face to face with a... girl. Now, he’d been around for quite some time, and had seen many things over the course of his years, but the appearance of the short girl staring up at him as he was staring down was new. Dreams would concoct wild things, but wouldn’t this be a bit much?

“...Mmm. That’s it. I see. Certainly I can’t be dreaming.” Rei proceeds to sigh, sounding as if he’s just gained fifty more years onto his lifespan in a single moment. “Ah, my head’s truly going to start spinning... Young lady, if you wouldn’t mind, please tell me where I am. I’m getting far too old to handle such surprises, too, so please stop... looking at me so oddly.”
