How many inches does Callum have in the pants? YOU HAD BETTER ANSWER THIS
Have you ever heard of show, not tell?
THE ONLY THING I CAN REMEMBER FROM THE ASK THE TUMBLR ATE IS: 1) What's Elise's take on marriage right now? 2) How will both Mags and Elise feel once the deal's broken?
1) Well, the engagement to Lia was accidental, but I think that before the deal, she definitely wanted to get married. Now, though, since she thinks she's going to Hell soon, she wouldn't want to put Lia through the burden of being such a young widow, lol. So she's pretty much given up on the thought of ever getting married. But once the deal is broken, I don't think she would object to going through with it. Though it would be pretty far off in the future. She's not sure herself or Lia are ready for it yet and doesn't want to rush things. Elise definitely has a positive outlook on marriage, though — some day.
2) Uhm… I suppose their reactions will be pretty similar. Neither of them will be able to believe it at first, and it'll probably take some time for the news to sink in. And then both Mags and Elise will probably worry that something will happen to Everett and Lia respectively, like… That they'll revert back to dying or being dead. Since neither contract really approved of trying to break them, haha. But once they realize nothing's going to happen and that everything's fine, they'll be happy, of course, for various reasons aside from avoiding dying and ending up in Hell. Mags because she won't have to leave Danny without a mom, and Elise because she won't have to leave Lia. Both of them will also be thankful towards Lia, even though they don't really approve of her deal-breaking obsession.
Ain't No Rest For the Wicked
Leave me prompt for Lili as requested, i.e. Lis's reaction to leaving Lia behind in the States. Even though I guess it should have been Lis's reactions to Lia leaving for some place, according to the original prompt, LOL. I just… I'm sorry. This is kind of terrible. Love me anyways?
Thousands of feet up in the sky, somewhere above the Atlantic Ocean with all of Earth's magnificence below; and yet, the only thing Elise Giles could think about was one human girl.
"I wish you wouldn't go."
Hours after the departure, Lia's words were still ringing in her ears. Elise sighed deeply, looked out the airplane window, and wondered for the billionth time whether or not she had made the right decision. Outside, the setting sun was dyeing the clouds various shades of autumn leaves and desert morning. Elise hadn't really expected Lia to show up at the airport to see her off. Actually, she didn't quite know what she had been expecting, only that the goodbye she got was not it.
Over the past few months the intervals between their arguments had become shorter and shorter, in proportion to how much Elise's frustration regarding the state of their relationship kept on growing. The lack of communication was honestly the biggest hit. Lia wouldn't talk to her anymore, about anything really.
She just disappeared out on her little demon hunts and wouldn't even consider taking Elise with her or telling her where she went; all the while Elise herself just ghosted around whatever motel they were currently occupied, sick with concern. Especially after Lia's reaction to Mags also selling her soul to the devil, Elise worried that the growing obsession with breaking both deals and saving the people she cared about would end up consuming Lia completely, in turn leading to her doing reckless things and getting herself in trouble, or even worse, getting herself killed. Again.
All of the worrying and wishing for Lia to actually talk to her about things again wasn't the tip of the iceberg for Elise either. As much as she hated to admit it, Lia's mood-swings had become more and more difficult to cope with. One day, she was telling Elise to stand up and fight for herself, berating her for her newfound tendency to just run along with anything Lia suggested; and the next, she got pissy when Elise actually did put her foot down. Elise really had no room to complain since she was the cause of their predicament in the first place; but the lack of stability was emotionally stressful.
And Elise herself… Well, she wasn't exactly so sure Lia would succeed in her mission. The day she would be going to Hell drew neared with each tick of the clock, and Elise was oddly at peace with it. Rather than worrying about what desperate measures Lia might take, she would have liked to spend the last of her days doing enjoyable things with the girl she loved. But Lia just refused to accept the facts and give up. In a way, Elise understood that. She wouldn't have given up either, if the roles were reversed. But she wished things were different.
Fine. I might fly across the pond and visit my family while you're pouting away. Let me know when you're done being a tosspot.
Originally, the tweet was supposed to be just a bluff, to get Lia to come back, rather than pouting away in some shoddy motel room on her lonesome. But as soon as she had sent it, the idea of visiting her family back in England started too seem like a good one. Maybe a break from one another was exactly what Lia and herself needed, to think things through in order to piece whatever remained of their once blossoming yet dysfunctional relationship back together. And she did want to see her family and the homeland once more before her time came.
Outside the aircraft the beautiful sunset had turned into darkness. Elise adjusted the pillow behind her head and leaned back in her seat, closing her eyes in an attempt to fall into yet another of her restless sleeps. Yes, going to England for a bit had seemed like a good idea, and it probably was.
So, why did it feel so wrong?
1) How does Elise feel now that she's back in England and Lia's not really calling? 2) Is Mags even a little bit excited to have Danny? 3) How would you describe Elise's relationship with Mona? 4)What's Elise's favorite food? 5) What about her favorite position? xD
1) I guess the situation isn't much different with her being in England and Lia not calling her from what it was before, seeing as it's not like Lia was keeping her in the loop and telling her stuff to begin with. Obviously she's worried about Lia's well-being and safety, but I think she also thinks they need a little break from each other to think stuff through. She was getting pretty frustrated with the lack of communication. Basically she's just focusing on hanging out with her family now before her time is up, while still thinking about what Lia's potentially up to back in the States.
2) Aaaah, the ambivalence. Honestly, I think that journal entry I wrote pretty much describes her feelings when it comes to having Danny. Right now she's pretty much focused on the pregnancy, doing it right, and being as good a mother as she can be, since she can't really do much about the deal. Mags is pretty caring/nurturing and motherly, and if the circumstances were different, I think she would be pretty excited about having a kid. But things are a little more complicated than that, both when it comes to economical issues and her general situation with the deal and having to do the single mom thing because the baby's dad kind of bailed on her… And she's basically worried about whether or not she'll manage to pull it together once the baby arrives. For the past 13 years Mags has pretty much only had herself to worry about, and now she'll have Danny who will be dependent on her; something she wasn't prepared for. She just really wants to be a good mom, but she's also pretty concerned about failing. Especially after Lia's scolding.
3) I have to admit that Mona (Elise's ex-girlfriend for those who don't know) and her relationship with Lis isn't something I have given much thought, really. Aside from the fact that Mona selling her soul and ending up going to hell was the reason why Lis started hunting — and why the thought of losing Lia was so unbearable that she had to make her deal, in spite of knowing what Mona's deal did to her. But, aside from her relationship with Lia, Lis's relationship with Mona has really been her only serious one. She figured her sexuality out pretty early on and dated a lot, but Mona was the first person she really fell for. So, her death hit Lis pretty hard, and once Lis was done mourning, she was angry with Mona for a long time. For making a deal, for not telling Lis she was going to die, and for letting Lis fall for her in spite of all of it. The anger faded, but she never really got over it.
4) Favorite food? Uhm, I haven't thought of that one really. But it's probably something traditionally English, homecooked by her mother. Lis obviously can't cook to save her life, so her favorite food is pretty much anything edible, I guess.
5) This. (SFW)
