from what i can tell from Mona flashback, is that she doesn't suspect Aria to be A, she actually wants to help her and the girls. and if Mona doesn't suspect her maybe Aria isn't A???
I have a huge issue with Mona not knowing who A is.
Because she clearly knew everything - was whatever happened that night the only thing she didn't know about, so she didn't know A's motive?
I don't know, she had access to her van and even communicated with her, how did she not manage to find A? how many geniuses can live in a single town?
but yeah, if Aria was A, Mona would absolutely know it was her. so nope /:
