Ariel has been writing HP fanfic since 2016 when she burst onto the Dramione scene with her “classic,” A Past Erased! Since then, she’s written over half a million words on nearly two dozen stories, mostly for Hermione ships focused on Draco, Tom Riddle Jr, and Harry.
A Past Erased went on to become one of the top 500 favourited Dramione fics on FFN, while her WIP Harmony World Changer is already a top 500. You might also know her from her other two popular Dramione WIPs, An Unconventional Escape, and Shipwrecked. Her various stories have won many fandom awards including Best Action/Adventure, Best Memory Charm, Best AU, Best Dramione, Best Dystopian/Marriage Law, Overall Favorite, Best Epic-Sized, Most Creative Plot, Favorite characterizations, and even Best Covers.
What she’s probably most known for, though, is how active she is in fandom! Besides Adminning Enchanting the Bookworm, she’s also active in Beyond the Book Fanfiction Nook, Tomione fanfics, and Quills & Parchment. She helped originate the Tomione Fest (and has just wrapped it up this year) and has had a big hand in Quills & Parchment’s well-known one-shot competitions. Last year, the Nook group even hosted their own awards. All of those things take a TON of work, but Ariel has an incredible dedication to fandom.
When she’s not working or with her family—she’s reading, writing, trying to find ways to travel, or doing fandom things. Sometimes that’s working miracles like finding lost fics, or networking people. Sometimes it’s making amazing graphics, like the Granger Enchanted-inspired Facebook banner that we displayed all last year. Sometimes it’s offering advice and inspiration and just gabbing with the girls in the various group chats she’s also active in.
And who can forget how many times Ariel has peer-pressured people into joining her fests, her groups, her competitions, or writing that plunny that has been bouncing around waiting for attention. Ariel is our enabler. She makes us all believe we can do things, and clears the way to make things happen. We’re all so fortunate to have her Adminning here!
