arihira headcanons & stuff? :3
• hirako is a wonderful cook. i believe it's canon that he was raised by his grandparents? anyways, i think that he was especially close with his grandmother and she taught him how to cook all sorts of things. arima knows how to cook a few things, but not much. hirako meal preps for him for the week, as he knows how little time arima has to cook himself food. he also wanted to move arima away from eating out and getting takeout constantly.
• arima doesn't share his birthdate with most, as he very much dislikes excess public attention on him. he told it to hirako one time, years ago, but hirako has never forgotten. he knows how much arima dislikes attention on him, so he keeps their celebrations private. hirako bakes arima his favorite sweet, and buys him a singular gift. arima wouldn't accept anything more than one gift, it's hard to get him to accept even one. last year, hirako got him a brand new fancy watch.
• the two of them both speak english, though i think arima is a little more fluent. i've said this in a past post, but i think hirako has a real passion for documentaries in english. arima sort of shows his love for hirako by researching different documentaries online, picking out ones hirako might like, and suggesting them for the two to watch together. arima also happily explains and translates different english terms or words that hirako might not already know.
• this one is a bit more canon-compliant and doesn't apply to all AUs. the night before arima's passing, he and hirako spent the night together. it was the first time they'd done so in years, as the two had been romantically split up for quite some time. it was a very intimate night. i don't mean in only a sexual sense, though i do think they made love that night. i think they spent a lot of that night enveloped in each others embrace, naked and skin to skin. hirako laid his head on arima's chest, his arm around his torso, while arima played with his soft, auburn hair. the next morning, arima left before hirako woke up. he left hirako the keys to his apartment.
• arima is really not a dog person, he's absolutely a cat person. hirako is 100% a dog person, he does have a dog after all. arima was nervous to meet hirako's dog at first, but it went well as hirako's dog is incredibly well trained. arima was thoroughly impressed by how well trained hirako's dog truly was, and left that interaction feeling much more affectionate towards dogs as a whole.
• arima makes more money than hirako, it's more money than he knows what to do with. i think he's very frugal when it comes to spending on himself, but he loves having a partner he can buy gifts for. hirako gets an array of small gifts from arima, but hirako's favorites kind of gifts from him are for sure the ties he buys for him. arima has bought him a variety of colors of high quality ties, he even buys him ones with special elegant patterns at times.
AAAGGGGHHHHH i know i only gave a few headcanons here, but i feel they're a bit detailed so i hope they will suffice <3 i love arihira, it's so good to meet another arihira lover!
