Kura reaches out to the signpost, the bases of her fingers pressing firmly onto the wood. It did not feel magical for all the trouble it was causing but it was. Her features shift into a frown and she raises her head to look at the arrow pointing her home. The sign looms above her and she drops her hand to cross her arms, weight leaning comfortably to her right. “To go home or not? Gods you are annoying, you know?” Perhaps, she was talking just for the sake of it as her only known audience was the sign but hearing her own voice was better than nothing.
The others were distant, the ones who had awoken in the same situation she had. Many had found people to cry to or grow enraged with, piling their emotions upon one another. She regretted not joining in, enduring the noise then would have been better than the quiet she had now. Kura folds her hands behind her back and turns away from the sign with the intention of returning to the inn. She stops finding someone else behind her. There is a moment of surprise, a breath and widened eyes, then she smiles. Clapping her hands together, Kura’s voice almost seems to be lifting into a song. “Hello there! Befriend me!”
