You don't have to answer if this is something you'd rather not talk about but I was wondering if you had any recommendations or tips or anything regarding how one would react an altered state. Most people I ask recommend mediating but it's never been successful for me
Meditating really is the best one. What meditation methods have you tried?
Other than true meditation there’s a few other methods. Obviously any substances like drugs or alcohol can induce an altered state but please do this safely and if you’re trying something different for the first time, do not do it while alone.
There are a variety of breathing techniques that can change your state as well. try this one: Three sharp, fast inhales, hold for a second or two (preferably 2), exhale very slowly. Repeat this until you begin to feel a little detached/light-headed/generally weird.
