And what even is an impromptu holiday without a spontaneous maternity photo shoot for me? I did think it was weird he bought all of his studio equipment…

29 NOVEMBER 2017
Due date: 18th of July 2018
Exercise: Only the non stop walking of work somedays
Stretch marks: Nope
Swelling: Not sure if its a bump or fat…
Maternity clothes: No
Belly button: In
Sleep: Getting a lot of sleep, naps everyday and early nights
Food cravings: Strawberry milk and guacamole
Movement: None yet, still too small
Labor signs: None
What I miss: Eating food… I don’t enjoy anything other than what I crave lately
What I’m loving: Nothing to be honest, this weeks been full of sickness and non stop working
Best moment: Finding out Dei’s cousin is also expecting a child! We’re only a few weeks apart too!
What I’m looking forward to: Jumping in my bed
She’s Coming!

“The day finally came! ON the 21st of July labour officially had started. I woke up at 8am to cramps in my abdomen. Two days overdue and I thought it was food poisoning from dinner the night before (This is still a laughing matter within my family). I rolled out of bed to see both the cats, Tina and Missy staring at me with wide open eyes.”
“About half an hour later, Deimon woke up without a care in the world, for a full two seconds, I told him today was the day, and you know what he did? went back to sleep. But only moments after that he rolled back to me and said “wait what?”. So then I called the hospital to tell them I’ll be coming in soon as my contractions got closer together, they were 15 minutes apart. The nurse told me I’d only be a few cm dilated and she wouldn’t listen to me when I told her that I had been dilated for a few days already, but she basically laughed at me saying sure okay.”
“Another hour later, I had called mum to tell her to tart heading into town, and Knox as well, and then I headed to the hospital. I knew she was coming sooner rather than later. We got admitted into the assessment room where I got all the tests of contractions, the heart rate of me and Evie, as well as a internal check. I was 8cm dilated and wasn’t in pain. The nurse who I had called earlier called me a champion for not being in so much pain for as far along as I was.

“Dei and I are so excited! Not going to lie, we both really did want a girl, but we would have been happy either way. The countdown to the day we get to meet her has never seemed so far away yet so close! I’m excited to start buying all the pink things! We won’t be sharing her name until the birth, so for now she shall be known as Baby E!”
