Ya know what, why not both? :D Kerra about Ari: "A fellow ranger and an excellent tactician, I'm told." [She grins.] "I wonder if he would approve of the names I have given my pets or if he's not a fan of puns...but I digress. If he ever ends up in my universe, I would love to meet him. Please let him know that even science should sleep sometimes!" Kerra sees a lot of herself in Ari, even though they're also very different people, so there's a bit of concern there alongside plenty of respect. If they ever disagreed, she could and would debate with him on various points, which he may or may not appreciate. She'd very much enjoy meeting his pets! Also, he reminds her of her brother a little, and she might try to sibling-adopt him if they ever met in person xD (And the pun name she was talking about is her jungle stalker, who she's had almost from the moment she awoke in the Grove. His name's Felix.) Cio about Ari: "I'm glad he had his pets and Tjiia--and Canni--growing up. Having Pliarr made a world of difference for me. Progenies can be vicious." [She frowns in a way that's about a millimeter away from a scowl before dragging her expression back to a semblance of neutral.] "I'd guess that we'd get on each other's nerves if we were to meet in person, but I respect the work he does, and I'm glad he's found people who value him." [A small smile.] "And I suppose I should mention that it's a bit odd for me to be talking about someone who shares my partner's name. I think that's a first." The only reason Cio didn't have as many broken bones as Ari did is because of a) her brother and b) the fact that people's viciousness in her direction was often tied to their fear of her magic/corruption, making progenies more likely to insult her than hit her. She's Very aware of this and would consequently have several things to "say" to Ari's bullies if she ever ran into them. She says that they'd get on each other's nerves because of his tendency to think he knows everything, which is something she can't stand, but I don't think she'd ever actively dislike him. They could and would probably get into snark-off arguments, though!

Their eyes met and Arjuro held a hand to the other man's face and bent to press his lips against De Lancey's, and the kiss made Froi feel as if something inside of him was breaking. Most times he knew there was no hope for Arjuro and Gargarin and Lirah and De Lancey. Too much pain in the past, too much power working against them in the present day. But as he watched Arjuro prop De Lancey up to better remove the arrow, Froi saw the foolishness of dreamers, and he decided he'd like to die so foolish. With a dream in his heart about the possibilities, rather than a chain of hopelessness. Finnikin had once said it was the only way to live. That he wanted to drown in hope rather than wallow in despair.
