"HhUM.." Yeah, as if he could possibly. "Maria... I. We don't have too." he awkwardly stated- figuring there was nothing to say they had to kiss or anything right? Of course it wasn't that he didn't want too, but it would sure be awkward for her- so he imagined.

To be honest, I was actually debating at first whether I ought to play her or Maria! Irony, huh?
Tikal is one of my absolute favourite characters in the series, and one that got so little screentime. We barely know anything about her: she was just an exposition fairy who occasionally gave us flashbacks that Sonic and friends didn't... really... listen to... until the very last second. Good job, Sonic and friends!
But yeah, anyways. Her next appearance didn't show us anything else as she was just a two-player character in SA2; she didn't even show up in the storyline after Knuckles broke the Master Emerald!
So I wondered: Who is she?
I've said it a million times, but there is more to her than just the Chao and Master Emerald. Before any of that started she had a life. Friends, family... Who knows, maybe she even had a crush on someone back in her tribe! So many people neglect that, and it doesn't look like SEGA's bringing her back any time soon so we might never know.
Thus, I felt it would be fun to bring that to the table, make her her own character. Give her more. The girl deserves it!
It's really fun making up things about her life pre-Master Emerald, too! :3
