anyways I need everyone to watch project hail mary because holy shit this is by far the best movie of the decade
1) the cinematography and use of light??? AMAZE
2) the emotional balance; let’s face it, space is both wondrous and incredibly lonesome and this movie starts off with a pretty impending doom vibe that may not feel so good considering the times we’re going through, and yet this movie manages to balance out all of these feelings in a great rhythm that helps the story move along without it tearing you apart or exhausting you (as someone who overidentifies with characters/situations)
3) the humor had me cackling, from the characterization of Ryland to such simple dialogue, THE SOUR SKITTLES?? It just WORKED
4) the commitment to detail, nothing is overlooked
5) Ryan Gosling and his slutty little glasses and mussed up hair??? IM IN
