    “Leon Kennedy, it’s nice to meet you.” Leon extended his hand to the woman in front of him, a shy smile on his lips.

    While it wasn’t a guarantee that he would be hired onto the Raccoon City police department, Leon was feeling more confident after he was invited for an in person interview at the station. On top of that, the department seemed eager for new hires ever since hikers started disappearing on the mountain trails around the city. Regardless of his confidence in being hired, Leon wanted to make sure he made a good impression at his interview and prove that he would be a worthy addition to the force.

‘ sorry that i’m not in the mood to wax poetics about the joys of teamwork in the middle of the fucking apocalypse. ‘ the city was burning, people were dying, and the last thing on the forefront of his mind was the comforting notion that he was not alone in the midst of it all. whether carrying the burden of saving the world alone, or distributing its weight among others, it didn’t matter. a couple of companions didn’t change the hellscape before them.

there was strength in numbers, but sebastian easily got the impression that she could run a solo show just fine.

               most of his knowledge of her came secondhand through redfield,  much of which was quite glowing.   he was yet to interact with much of the other bsaa members or blue umbrella,  trying to stay out of most affairs that didn’t directly relate to him.   a part of him said that he did not belong here,  the same part of him that recoiled when he first stepped foot into the louisiana swamp.   he gives jill a small shrug,    ❝   i mean i don’t particularly blame you.   ❞   if anything,  ethan was slightly grateful for her and redfield.   they understood a little bit of what it was like.    ❝   and i respect what you guys are doing. i just don’t know if it’s particularly my thing.   ❞

         𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐑 ,  𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆.    it’d started out as hearing small whimpers or feeling the movements of the woman beside her ,  but as mind comes to wake && concludes that she wasn’t in any danger herself ,  head jerking off pillow && eyes glancing around at the ready for the gun at her bed side ,    concern   /    attention turned to jill just as she was getting out of bed.   eyes glance at her back for a moment before even speaking up ,   tone quiet but seemingly overflowing with   𝙲𝙾𝙽𝙲𝙴𝚁𝙽  !         ;         when jill dismisses her concern ,  claire was more than sure that it was something else than just a   “bad dream.”    claire allows jill her space , a moment to breath && readjust before crawling from under the covers to follow after,    ❝  jill?  ❞     speaks up claire , arms crossing over her chest && brows furrow.    ❝  i have . . nightmares too.  ❞     claire wanted her to know she    𝖜𝖆𝖘𝖓'𝖙   alone━    ❝  . .  but they aren’t just nightmares.  sometimes they’re still there when i’m awake , in my head all the time.  all the things that have happened , that i’ve seen.  is it the same for you?  ❞    brow arches ,  body coming to lean against counter.    /  @arklayruins​    continued from here !
