i also did some sketches of some side characters from another thing. i think part of the story is that the protagonists are like Legit demon hunters but most of the recurring side characters are hacks either because they’re scammers or they’re just kinda dumb. the Salvador sisters are on the dumb side just bc they like don’t actually know anything about demons they just like murder them. Jesse is a journalism student going through some stuff. she becomes a witch in my vision for the story which in fiction means you have to form a contract with a demon and that’s Maggie, who’s a goth hottie and an annoying little freak (fun). Jesse’s sister Jenna is kind of a self styled demon hunter so she hates Jesse’s shitty girlfriend so much. it’s a supernatural joke but they also became their own girls based on my opinion that in supernatural they never should have dropped the Sam’s Dark Powers plot, because i liked it. well that’s all

hi i just went through ur oc tag and i love all of it!! your character concepts are not only awesomely designed but also so engageable?? like they feel real and dimensional but also easy to interface with as part of a story. do you have any fun facts or plot pieces about any ocs you’d wanna share?

this took me a while to answer bc i wanted to get more proof of concept stuff together just to show you but 1. thank you!! and 2. i have this expansive story that i never draw anything for but think about all the time bc i’m trying to balance like theological elements with straight monsters and magic with modern day urban fantasy stuff and the whole thing dramatically changes every like, week. but an aspect of it is the four horsemen of the apocalypse, who are some like dark generals that were created by lucifer and forcibly implanted into human vessels so they could sow chaos among humans or whatever. and the thing that i’m toying with the most is whether i want to include conquest or pestilence

the thing is, i can’t help but feel like a lot of the things associated with pestilence are sort of like. value neutral processes of nature which doesn’t seem all that evil to me even aesthetically. so she started feeling too sympathetic to me. i COULD completely redo her from the ground up and i might try some more ideas just to see bc there’s definitely takes i can do on that especially now that would ring pretty authentically evil and bad. but ALSO…. i could replace her, either wholesale or as an occurrence in the story where she gets like, fired, with Conquest, who i think is way scarier and also interesting as like a “final boss” horseman who was created to be more badass than all the other ones combined (well not death, she’s in her own category, but you know)

and i took the time to do a first draft of him right away. he’s a serial killer on death row who gets implanted with a weird bug that turns him into an unstoppable killing machine and is daddy’s special boy who is soooo strong and cool. he;s goin’ in there no matter what, i think I’ve talked myself into a progression where pestilence gets fired and replaced and just like wanders off somewhere to have a face turn while shadow the hedgehog fucks everything up. that’s a plot piece for ya!
