@armaticor When Joe told Barry how Mr. Stark took care of him when he was in a coma Barry felt a deep sense of gratitude. He had looked up to Tony Stark most of his life and was fascinated by the work Stark Labs was doing. He needed to thank Mr. Stark in person. He wasn’t easy to find though. After the catastrophic accident he lost popularity among the general public and scientists everywhere. People who lost loved ones due to the accident even tried to press charges but those were dismissed. Barry used his forensic skills to track down Mr. Stark to where it all began. The abandoned and mostly destroyed Stark Labs. A few of his assistants who remained loyal to him, and also helped Barry, hung around there as well. He found the scientist in a heap of metal and scraps. “Mr. Stark?”

When Wanda woke it was still hours before dawn, the nightmares had been getting worse lately.  So the last thing she really wanted to do was try and go back to sleep.  That would only bring on more of them.  Getting out of bed she saw the light to Stark’s workspace on, of course he’d be the only one up this early.  

Hoping that he wouldn’t mind some company she quietly brewed two cups of coffee, making it just how he liked them, before going to knock on the door.  “I thought you might like some company.”  Wanda gave him a small smile as she opened the door.

Honestly, Tony is taking a bit long to reply. Maybe it was too early? Or he shouldn’t have assumed. Yeah, maybe he should have asked first if he’s okay with it. After all, it’s possible that he doesn’t even want a burden like that. And Peter did notice that look on his face before he put that smile on his face. “Didn’t know you had a wishlist on amazon. Something from that probably should have been better. Look, I’m sorry if you’re not okay with me calling you dad. I just thought that... well ... you’re like a father to me and  I don’t know. It just feels right to me..”

He really can’t contain his laughter as he read over the message. It was quite clear that Steve was not in his right mind with this text. If he didn’t know better, he would have assumed some teenage girl stole Steve’s phone.

He had already had the brilliant idea of downing all of the stash of Thor’s liquor. With his massive accelerated metabolism it was the only thing that seemed to pack a bunch with the super soldier.

She almost feels bad for snapping at him. 

Head lifts from her knees ( which are pulled up as close to her chest as she can possibly get them, arms locked around tight ) as she frowns slightly, expression almost mimicking his own as she glances at the cups in his hand. She’s silent for a moment, shifting a bit on the bed before letting out a small sigh and nodding, head resting once more on top of her knees.

“You can come in.” 

Voice small as she shrugs, scooting to the edge of her bed and pushing herself upright. Really, she wanted nothing more than to hide in here for the rest of the day ( a feeling which she’s sure Stark is familiar with ), but the hot chocolate was a nice gesture, and she had no reason to ignore him today.

Wanda nervously approached Stark, she had been trying to gather up the courage to ask him something for weeks.  She crossed her arms over her chest and tried to act as normal as she could. “Do you have some free time?” Her voice wavered slightly as she spoke.  “I have a favor I’d like to ask of you.”

After it happened he went home, gotten out of his suit, thrown it as far back into his wardrobe as possible. He had planned to stay there, try to get through it on his own, but he just ... couldn’t. And he can’t possibly tell his aunt about what happened. That’s how he ended up at Tony’s place, since he knows about him being Spider-Man, so Peter can talk to him about it. But when the door opens and Tony wraps a jacket around his shoulders because of the rain that he didn’t even notice and left him soaking wet and shivering, he just can’t bring himself to use his voice.  

Peter doesn’t even move from where he stands when Tony goes to get a towel, nor does he reply to the question that’s being asked. It’s probably shock, he thinks, from the events of the evening, to fight against someone who was his best friend once and to see the girl he loves die. He wraps his arms around himself, pulling the jacket tighter around him, finding a bit comfort in the warmth and from Tony’s smell.
