4/26/54 OBJECTION SUSTAINED, WASHINGTON: News photographers at the McCarthy-Army hearings were recently forced to surrender their film of a typewritten record of a McCarthy telephone conversation. Life magazine photographer Hank Walker (left) turns over his film to Senator Karl Mundt, the temporary chairman of the Senate Investigating Subcommittee which is conducting hearings into the dispute. “It would have been impossible to read anything.” murmured Walker to Senator Mundt.
