Headcanons for when Arno, Shay, and Connor find out their muse is a witch/wizard?
Arno Dorian:
Actually does a double-take when you tell him
How did he not figure that out before your revelation?
All of those times that his sword was conveniently placed on top of his dresser when he had been searching for ten hours or when dark storm clouds began hovering over a particular spot when he lost sight of his target during a high-stakes mission
And that one time when he thought he was drinking something that tasted like mud when it was in fact his favorite tea
Arno hugs you tightly and thanks you for telling him instead of him having to find out himself
He knows that it’ll take a bit of time for him to fully wrap his head around it, but he knows he’ll get used to it
Your relief was quite apparent to him when you let out a sharp exhale and Arno simply laughs
He does ask you to give him a private demonstration of your powers later, much to your surprise and happiness
Shay Cormac:
At first, he’s conflicted
After Lisbon, Shay’s opinion on powerful objects and abilities is warped to say the least
He actually leaves the room a few moments after you tell him about your abilities
For a week or so, you don’t see Shay around Fort Arsenal or New York in general
Even Gist had no idea where Shay was when you asked him
It isn’t until you hear a soft knock at your bedroom door one morning that you finally see Shay again
He doesn’t say anything, instead opting to give you an awkward hug and kiss to your forehead
You sigh and return the hug warmly and you feel Shay’s muscles slowly relaxing when you kiss his cheek
It was going to take a bit of time, but you did have faith that Shay would accept your powers in due time
Connor Kenway:
You weren’t afraid of receiving no form of reaction from Connor that you were worried about, it was how he would react that terrified you a bit
But when you told him, it felt like as though a weight had been lifted off of your shoulders
Much to your surprise, Connor does take it extremely well
Well better than you expected him to take to it
He did look shocked for the entirety of a minute before wearing a somewhat impressed expression and giving you an accepting smile
Then again, Connor had seen a lot of things in his life that would’ve made your abilities seem small in comparison
You do have to tell him that your powers didn’t come without a price and that it did drain your physical and mental energy every time you used it
For the most part, it did seem like Connor understood what you could and couldn’t do
He does ask you to show him what you could do occasionally though
You’re fairly convinced that Connor will never be able to get over the fact that his partner could wield magic
