Of course! Just like “gay” sometimes stands for the whole lgbt+ community, “aro” can be used as an umbrella term for the entire aromantic spectrum. So if you’re somewhere on the aromantic spectrum, feel free to call yourself aro!

Also, your identity literally belongs to you, so you’re the only one who gets to decide which specific terms you want to use. Some people might prefer going by the very exact definition of their attraction, while others might use an umbrella term or even simply identify as “queer” or something similar. Neither of those options is more or less right than the others - it all just depends on the individual.
