Concept

The day of my “wedding” has arrived. Instead of a preacher saying how important it is to have a union my partner and I each tell hyperbolic stories to the crowd about what we want to do now that we’re a duo. When we’re done the lights go out but earlier we’d given everyone glow sticks so they better not have ditched them. We do a cover of the Cha Cha Slide. At one point the beat drops and it’s straight up dubstep music. I play my bass, maybe my djembe, ukulele, or one of my recorders, and my partner does something similar. We each get to perform rockin’ solos to all our favorite friends and family members. For the rest of time, instead of people saying, “Oh, remember the xxx wedding? So sweet, so wow,” my partner and I can brag, “Remember the time we shredded it and you all had to watch? Ha! Rick-Rolled.”
