Some things that are hard as an aro author who writes romance into my books include:
People do not understand when I say "if someone does something bad/says they don't like me I just turn off my attraction to them"
What actually is the difference between a bestie and a lover (especially hard as a bi enby)
At what point does a character have a solid foundation for romance instead of this friend is a sexy friend
Trying to write alloromantic characters when I don't know how that works and my research has yielded nothing useful
Having an ace partner so I can't even get a clue in that way
Not that any of that is gonna stop me!
