He reeked of beer - a customer had spilled it, so naturally it’d ended all down his pants leg, and since it was hidden behind the bar, he’d stayed just because they needed the money. He knew they needed the money. So when he came home and saw Alec still awake, a soft, sleepy hum escaped Jeremy’s lips, his arms sliding around his boyfriend’s shoulders from behind as he leaned down to kiss the top of his head. “Can I pull you away from writing long enough to interest you in taking a shower with me? I need to get this stench off,” he hummed softly, working his way down to rest his chin on the other male’s shoulder.
