       “Oh!!!!” JJ lets out a low gasp, raising his arms as he beams down to Guang Hong. It’s been a while since he’s seen Guang Hong, and it’s nice to get a hug from the man despite their [barely there] relationship. It’s nice to see that such a timid man was interested in communicating with someone as outgoing as JJ… “It’s great to see you, Guang Hong!”

      After watching JJ’s near nervous breakdown at the Grand Prix, Guang Hong saw a different side to JJ that he’d never seen before. He saw vulnerability, and support from JJ’s fiancée and that must have meant that he wasn’t just a jerk like a lot of people said. JJ and Guang Hong had only really talked a few times, hadn’t really run into each other frequently during competition. But Guang Hong had always sensed that JJ wanted real friends. Upon seeing him this time, Guang Hong had just gone straight up to him and given him a hug.

      He was apparently right; it was well received, even though it was totally random. When Guang Hong pulled away, he smiled. “Nice to see you, too! I hope you’re well?” // @arroogant

@arroogant 💛'd for a short starter! Yuuri had never been particularly sociable at competitions- it simply wasn't in his nature. If Phichit was there, he could normally convince Yuuri to at least get dinner with the other skaters, and a few went out of their way to chat with him, so he'd indulge them. Never, though, did he approach his competitions first. Anything he could open with sounded stupid in his head and was immediately thrown out, so he elected to keep to himself. It also had the additional benefit of keeping him out of the loop of drama. All of this changed, however, with Viktor. He always stressed the importance of supporting fellow competitors, especially the ones younger than yourself. His fiancé was the spitting image of a good sportsman. And that is how Yuuri found himself approaching JJ in the locker room after a competition rather than packing up quietly and going on his way. They were alone- both having been delayed by interviews. Taking a deep breath, Yuuri plastered on a smile. "Your free program this season is very beautiful, Jean-Jacques." His voice barely quivered, concept so foreign. It was different than the young Japanese skaters- but it wasn't unpleasant. "I don't think I've heard what your theme is for the season, though, although I have some idea from watching..." just some encouraging small talk. He could do that. Right?

Shaking his head, Viktor sat down gently beside the other skater. Unbeknownst to JJ, Viktor had not come to scold, but had come bearing gifts to help. He didn’t press the other man, knowing that their fledgling friendship was too new for much, however, he could do something to help. 

On the table he placed a bottle of ginger ale, a couple headache pills and warm heating pad. He’d always found the warmth comforting after a sad night of drinking. “These should help, my friend.”

        He shouldn’t be long in the shower. Especially since he knew Isabella was staying the night, she knew how her fiance operated. Patience didn’t need to be much of a virtue this time around, Isabella could already hear the water turning off and know it’d be just a mere minute or two before her fiance returned to his room. He’d have a surprise waiting for him on his bed.

              Nothing is going as it should. He’s grown nearly five inches since last GPF, and his body is completely rebelling against him. There are aches and pains, cramps that are signaling yet another change around the bend, his hormones are all over the place which makes him even more irritable than usual. And now this. No placement on the podium at the Finals. He placed fifth over all. Better than last, but better than last still didn’t pay the bills.

              Of course, his placement only lead to him pulling a Katsuki and getting blitzed out of his mind. Not that he was supposed to be drinking so much, but he’d done it and Otabek, the ever doting best friend, put him to bed. 

              Now he’s found himself a quiet place to lay low until his flight leaves, which really cannot come soon enough. All he wants is to go home so he can really lick his wounds.
