Felicity decking Black Siren is still the highlight of season 5 IMO.
Y’all can fight me over ‘Spectre of the Gun’ because it was a fab episode and dealt with an important issue in a sensitive and informed way.
I still love the way they set up the escape scene in the Dominators’ dreamworld, with a specific villain for each character to fight that had a symbolic meaning for them in terms of their individual struggles and personal story arcs.
For Oliver, Deathstroke. For Sara, Damian Darhk. For Diggle, three Ghosts from HIVE. For Ray, a mirakuru soldier like the one who murdered his fiancee. For Thea, Malcolm Merlyn.
It was just a really well-done piece of thematic visuals and symbolism that reflected the characters’ development and history.
Watching back season 5 knowing who Prometheus is is a whole other wild ride altogether.
Remember when Tobias Church kidnapped the Mayor so he could draw out the Green Arrow?
OH AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT RE TATSU AND OLIVER’S FRIENDSHIP
we go from “I’m not your mother or your maid or your wife”
to HUGGING and “be well, tatsu”
“they will kneel before the next ra’s al ghul”
okay this is one thing I don’t get
why does oliver say that? I mean, surely it doesn’t make a difference to ra’s whether oliver accepts ra’s’ offer or not since he’s going to be dead? or am I missing something here?
“I’m pretty sure your boy’s in starling city dam”
“despite what I think about your guy, I don’t want to see him killed when I think he’s trying to save this city”
in which quentin proves to be an olicity shipper through and through (although lbr he was shipping it from “wow, she must really believe in you”)
