ong he’s been my longest lasting character since like grade 6 whoops
he got redesigned so many times i made him into a shapeshifter but i nerfed that for the story bahaha
in the arsconian files, he was a child soldier, raised to only see himself as a tool for the dictatorship of his father - but when his father was killed in a ‘freak accident’ that permanently disfigured riptide’s face and ear, he absorbed both terrence’s power and his role
riptide got pushed into the role of dictator, and used his army to push harder against the rebellion which unbeknownst to his knowledge was ran by his sister amore (who renamed herself to valerie as a way to escape her past)
his gold teeth are replacements for the ones he lost in the ‘accident’
he’s only 39, but the greys are as a result of him constantly overexerting himself to seem ‘more powerful’

she’s been through a lot
like when i say a lot , i mean a lot
both her and riptide were raised to believe they were worthy for what they could give others - riptide, his power ; valerie, her body
their mother died, and so their only representation of a good person was their dictator father terrence
she was named amore at birth, but when she eventually escaped her home, she named herself valerie to remove herself from her past life
valerie was taken in as a loyal member of the rebellion, and eventually became the leader, when the current one relinquished themself from the role
her and riptide constantly fight due to being on opposing sides, however riptide doesn’t recognize her, due to events that conspired since they last saw eachother
her and her girlfriend are currently raising a child they suspect may be the bastard son of her brother, but they can’t get in touch with him to verify
