A/N: Welcome to day 11! I hope you all enjoy it! Header by me, divider by @cafekitsune
Masterlist
Lian was set on your hip, as you and Roy waited. The two of you decided you wanted to go out of town, and spend time with Lian.
So far, the trip was good. Roy's old red truck was holding up and Lian was having the time of her life.
Until she got hungry, that is.
This led to where you were now, waiting in line to get seated at a cute resturaunt.
"I'm hungry,"
Roy chuckled and ruffled his daughters hair, kissing her head. "I know baby, we'll get some food in you soon."
Lian crossed her arms and pouted, understanding what her father told her but she wasn't going to be happy about it.
Roy looked up at you, an amused smile on his face. Wrapping an arm around your waist, he pulled you into him feeling you shiver from his warmth.
"Babe, if you're cold you just had to tell me."
Keeping a tight hold on Lian, you nuzzled his shoulder. "Didn't realize how cold I am until now," you laughed.
"Daddy's always warm,"
You smiled at her. "Yeah, Daddy is always warm."
Lian smiled, hugging you tightly. "And Mommy gives the best hugs and cuddles."
At her words, time seemed to stand still. You and Roy had been together for a few years now, with you fully stepping into the mother role for Lian. But you never thought she'd ever consider you her mother.
Roy felt your body shift, hearing the word his daughter said. He could see the tears pricking your eyes, as you held his baby girl tighter.
Pulling you closer into him, Roy kissed your forehead. "Yeah, Mommy does give the best hugs."
It wasn't long before you were sat at a table, and lunch went off without a hitch. It was a few hours before the three of you were back on the road, with Lian passed out in the back seat.
Roy held your hand as he drove, knowing you needed that comfort.
"Everything alright babe?"
You couldn't help but beem at him, "She called me Mommy."
"I heard," he chuckled.
You tightened your grip on his hand. "I never thought she saw me that way, it caught me off guard."
Roy hummed softly, "Well, you've been around most of her life taking care of her. To a six-year-old that's what a mother is."
"If it helps, I can start calling you Mommy too."
You rolled your eyes. "Focus on the road, Harper."
Request: Can you write a Roy x daughter reader where she is older than lian(maybe like 16-17) and was introduced to Roy much much later. He’s shows extreme favoritism to lian, lians moms a lil bitchy to the reader and the reader is very reserved and quiet around them (this past is optional) and then they find out she’s a very sassy I, badass agent of Argus or something

Part of you wanted to assume that he just didn’t really know what to make of you. You were practically grown and only just recently thrust into his life. You didn’t know much, but you knew your mom had been a part of his life briefly and during one of its darker turns. The other part of you figured Roy didn’t want to think about and remember that part of his life, and with you around now, you were just a constant reminder of something he’d worked so long to forget.
You envied your sister. You had both been surprises for Roy, but she seemed to be the welcomed one. You couldn’t blame him, he got to watch Lian grow up and be a part of her life. He wanted her around. With you, he seemed lost and took the easy way out with leaving you be. So often, you felt like you were an afterthought.
“You’re just leaving?” Lian asked as you while you were scurrying around your room to fill your pack. “Where are you going to go? What will you do on your own?”
“I’ve got favors I can call in,” you explained. “You don’t have to worry about me, Lian. You’re a sweet kid, but it’s pretty obvious this whole arrangement isn’t a good fit. I’m going to go and find someplace where it’s the right fit.”
“That bag looks a little heavy for a library run,” Roy remarked as you made your way to the front door of the apartment. You knew he didn’t miss you dropping your house key at the table by the door. You had no intention of coming back, so it was pointless to hold onto a key that opened a door you didn’t want to go through.
“It’s enough,” you quipped as you opened the door one last time. You didn’t want a drawn out goodbye from someone who rarely even thought of you.
Within an instant, Roy was between you and the empty doorway. It took everything you had to keep your body calm and relaxed. If he wanted a fight, that’s what you’d give him, but it would be on your terms. He was studying your reaction as he asked through clenched teeth, “Where do you think you’re going so late?”
You had studied Roy long enough to know what would hurt enough to leave him reeling so you could get out. You locked eyes, slowly blinking once before coolly stating, “I’m leaving and will find a place to stay where I’m not looked at like I’m the end product of a drunken mistake.”
Roy was speechless from your verbal gut punch. Perhaps if he’d taken the time to get to know you, it wouldn’t feel so true, or might not have even come to it. You took his moment of personal reflection as your chance to get out of the apartment and out of sight.
You waited until you were across town before you pulled out your issued SAT phone. “Waller, I need a pickup at my current coordinates.”
You’d taken every precaution to make sure you wouldn’t be followed or found unless you wanted to be. Roy wasn’t stupid, and you knew he’d immediately try tracking your cell phone. You had a plan, and one of the preliminary steps was leaving the phone he’d given you in the opposite direction than you’d planned on taking. He’d figure it out, but you had to hope you’d be long gone before he did.
It had been weeks since you’d left the Harper home for good, and for the first time since your mom was killed, you almost felt normal and happy. Your life began to resemble what it once was, even with the glaring absences in your life.
It was bound to happen sooner or later, especially with Waller pulling the strings, but you didn’t expect to be thrust into working with Arsenal. You both seemed to run head first into enemy fire and had to jump for cover as you shot off your armored response.
“What are you doing, working for ARGUS?” Roy whispered angrily as he took cover from the onslaught of enemy fire.
“It’s a matter of family,” you answered curtly. The middle of a mission was not where you wanted to have some long drawn out heart to heart about the meaning of family.
“We’re your blood, not them, Y/N,” Roy hissed. “I don’t understand why you’d leave your family to work for Waller.”
“A family is more than blood. They make you feel like you belong and you aren’t just some obligation from a night of indiscretion,” you seethed. You had thought the emotional wounds had healed, but seeing your father again so unexpectedly tore you apart and you couldn’t hide it.
“The only indiscretion was treating you like an outsider and like my daughter. I should’ve made you feel safe at home,” he confessed solemnly. “But that still doesn’t explain how you got involved with Waller and ARGUS.”
“My mother’s debts to ARGUS have become my own,” you stated simply. “I’ll leave a better legacy, but for now, I’m working to repay hers.”
Before Roy could process what sort of debt you could possibly owe to ARGUS, you were darting out into the line of fire. You expertly took out your enemies as you sprinted to get Lian away from the spray of bullets. Each of your shots landed exactly as intended, neutralizing your mutual enemy. It was only after Arsenal checked to make sure there would be no more attacks that he realized you’d been shot saving your sister.
“A family may be more than blood, Y/N,” he started as he began to tend to your wound, “but I know you go above and beyond for family. I’ll make sure your debt to Waller is paid, but I’d like it if you came home and gave me a chance to make up for all of the hurt I’ve had a hand in in your life.”
All you’d ever wanted from Roy was to feel like he was your dad and had your back. It may have taken getting shot, but you finally felt like you belonged as a part of the Harper family.
Request: Ooo if your doing Roy then can I request a fic where Roy is dating Kori’s younger sister who disposes kori and vice versa?

It always seemed to amaze people how different sisters could be, and it seemed to be even more amazing to the people who knew both of you. Yes you were Tamaranean and could fly just like your sister, but you didn’t possess all of her skills; you weren’t the warrior she was and couldn’t produce starbolts. For a long time, it seemed to make you both think that made you less than Kori. You’d grown past that, but sometimes with the way she would look at you and treat you, you could tell she hadn’t.
You hadn’t even tried to intrude on your sister’s life or partnerships, but somehow your paths had intertwined at a rundown hardware store you’d been helping out at. Roy had come in looking for a few last minute supplies, and sparks flew. You were surprised you didn’t up and launch yourself into the atmosphere, you’d been so elated. His visits became more frequent, and you could tell he was just coming in because he liked talking to you rather than always being out of screws and other small tools. Before you knew it, the two of you were having dinner together a few nights a week until you became official in your relationship together.
There were no secrets between you and Roy. You knew about his past and his present, hoping that you may be included in his future. You weren’t exactly thrilled about the idea of Roy having been with your sister, especially given your strained history, but he was always quick to assure you that he wasn’t judging or comparing you to her.
The day had come, and you were finally moving in together. You insisted you could handle the heavy lifting on your own, but Roy was just as insistent about getting at least some help. He tried to put it in a way that he was only doing this to protect your alien status from the world. You really should have expected it, but you were still caught by surprise when Kori walked in carrying a box of kitchen supplies from your old place.
“You seem to be the reason Roy has been rather secretive about his personal life,” Kori quipped as she looked you up and down. “I can see not much has changed and you’re letting yet another person fight your battles.”
You steeled yourself for the fight you could feel coming, ready to go toe to toe and prove your worth to your sister. Before you could truly react, Roy had already put himself between the two of you. It killed you to see the satisfied smirk on her face, having been proven right once again.
“I suppose we have one thing in common,” Kori conceded. “We both love Roy.”
“Very true,” you agreed. “We don’t have to like each other, but out of respect to him, we should be civil.”
You walked down the stairs together in tense silence. As you both grabbed the remaining boxes out of the truck, you knew what you had to do. It wasn’t going to be easy, but things that were worth it rarely were, and at the end of the day, you needed to know you’d said your piece.
“I always wanted to be just like you. You were my hero,” you said breaking the silence. “You were forced through so much, and you still came out on the other side a strong woman with even stronger bonds with those you loved. I guess I always wished I could be like that or have that bond.”
Now it was Kori’s turn to be taken by surprise. She watched as you quietly made your way back into the building. She’d spent so long looking at you in a single light that the idea that you weren’t some spoiled and coddled child was foreign to her. In the time she’d spent resenting you, you’d learned how to take that animosity and turn it into love for others in any hope to fill that void.
Back in the apartment Kori set down her box before grabbing you by the elbow and dragging you out to the fire escape.
“I was wrong,” she stated. “ We have more than one thing in common. You have faced your own adversity, and it is time that I stop comparing it to that of my own because it has made you into the person standing before me. The person who shows my friend love and accepts it in return, without fear of being hurt; something I’ve struggled with myself. You became a strong woman because that is who you set out to be, and that says a lot. I apologize for the harsh judgments I passed, and would like to work to make things right between us.”
As the afternoon drew on, your new home was beginning to look just like that, a home. Before you knew it, you and Roy were alone again.
“You planned that, didn’t you?” you asked as Roy drew you into his arms on the couch.
Roy kissed your head as you rested against his chest. “Sometimes it takes an outsider to see what both sides need, especially when they’re both more alike an either would care to admit.”
You smiled into his chest as you let the exhaustion from moving and emotional confessions wash over you. Moving in together was a big step, but for the first time in a long time, you felt like you were home and a part of a family. That was a feeling you weren’t going to let go of any time soon.
Can you do JayxRoy fr the domestic questions. Happy 400!
This was my bad, I should’ve been more clear when I initially posted about the 400 followers. Since I’m only doing x reader, I’ll do this one with Roy because I’ve gotten a good amount of Jason ones.
Who’s the first to wake up in the morning:Roy does. He’s always got something in the works, and that usually means getting a running start bright and early. You still don’t know where he finds the energy.
Who’s the one to make breakfast:Because he gets up first, Roy usually runs to the bakery you like and grabs you both something good to eat.
Who’s the one to serve the other breakfast in bed:
Roy will make his bakery run look all nice and special before waking you up with some good food in bed.
Who would suggest a quickie in the morning before work:
That’s a bit of a toss up. Either one of you will depending on what kind of mood you both wake up in.
Who suggests they both ditch work to lay around all day:
Roy does. He wants to get some extra time with you. He figures if your work has a problem with it, he’s got enough connections to get you a better job with more flexible hours.
Who chooses the movies:
You do. Roy really doesn’t care what you put on, and either way he doesn’t plan on watching nuch of the movie.
Who initiates kissing during the moving, thus distracting the other from the movie all together:
Roy does, and not only when you choose a movie he doesn’t care about. He had just spent the first part of the movie watching your every last reaction and he couldn’t help himself, he wanted that attention turned over to him.
Who orders lunch:You do. You always seem to figure out exactly what Roy is craving and time it perfectly to when you know he’s going to need a break.
Who steals food from the other’s plate without asking:
Roy does, but only because he knows which ingredients on your plate you don’t like and are not going to eat.
Who curls up next to the other and falls asleep due to a full tummy:
Roy does. He thinks you’re the best cuddle buddy and is more than happy to hold you close while he takes a nap.
Who distracts the other from trying to work at home:
You do, but only because you know Roy won’t stop tinkering unless you make him stop. You’ve figured out a few good distractions, and he really doesn’t mind because he knows you have his best interests at heart.
Who asks to go get ice cream like a five year old:
Roy does because he knows you are far too content to eat all of the good ice cream by yourself at night while waiting for him to get home, and if he doesn’t go out for ice cream with you, he’s not going to have any ice cream. And that would be a real shame.
Who takes pictures of their partner eating ice cream:
You do! You love seeing Roy so happy and in the moment, you just have to capture it for later.
Who makes a sexual joke about the dripping ice cream on their partner’s face:As much as you can’t help yourself about taking a picture of Roy during ice cream outings, he just can’t help himself from making some sort of sexual joke. The first couple of times you got a little bashful, now you just roll your eyes at him.
Who cooks dinner:
You do. Once you heard from Jason about the flamethrower incident, you decided it would be best if you did what you could to keep Roy away from an open flame.
Who cleans up the kitchen afterwards:
Roy seems to think he can come up with some sort of device to make post-dinner cleanup easier, so in order to figure out how exactly that device should work he has resolved himself to do the kitchen cleanup in the meantime. You don’t mind until you start hearing dishes breaking.
Who stays up until 2 reading:
While you’re more inclined to stay up reading, your big motivation is waiting for Roy to come to bed. He’s just as likely to be up, whether he’s working on a case or tinkering with his next genius idea. He’ll get so absorbed in what he’s working on that you need to come in to remind him that you need him to sleep.
Who stares at their partner while their sleeping:
Like most other vigilantes, Roy has seen some terrible things. When given the opportunity to stare at you sleeping peacefully and content, he’s going to capitalize on that. There are times he wants to live in that moment forever where he knows you’re happy and safe.
Who kisses their partner while they sleep:
You do because he’s afraid to wake you up. If he wakes you up, that peaceful moment has to end. You usually have to leave for work before Roy wakes up, so you always kiss him softly before you leave. You only wake him up about half the time.
