But first, for everyone who might need a refresher:

The Bang is a fun, relatively low-effort event, with flexible minimums on art and other collaborations.

Artists is used as a broad term here and can include things like Moodboards, Playlists and even Podfic!

Before you sign up, check the rules and this year's schedule first! After that, all you have to do is fill out our sign up form. Be sure to send the form in on time, sign-ups close on 31 May! A confirmation email of your sign-up should be sent to you within 48 hours - if you do not receive one, please reach out to the mods via email (winterhawkbb (at) gmail (dot) com), Tumblr message or on our Discord server, and we will try to figure out what went wrong.

Abstract art was never meant to be solved like a math problem. It was meant to be felt and experienced.

Maybe abstract art feels confusing because we were taught that every artwork must “mean” something very obvious like a flower, landscape, or a face.

But abstract art is different. It works like a system.

It will ask you to look for the tension between colors, energy, or rhythm. Sometimes painting is not hiding a meaning but your reaction. It is more like music which you don’t explain logically, but somehow, you still feel it deeply.

|| HELLO! Per usual, I'm going to make one of these posts here. For those that don't know, I greatly enjoy drawing/doodling stuff with other people's muses, but unless I know the mun I don't always feel comfortable just drawing their muse without asking first. This will be for mutuals only. And with that said, having an active thread is not necessary, but I admit that people I thread with/or talk OOC with tend to give me more inspiration.

So by liking/commenting on this, you'll be giving me permission to do the following:

Use your muse for style/coloring practice

Draw things from threads

Draw memes/silly things

Random gift art

Possibly reach out for images/refs for drawing purposes

This is mostly for whenever the mood strikes, as it can sometimes be fickle, but I like having possible ideas to draw. And of course, I'll probably have random posts that pop up asking for volunteers, but this will be a permanent one since those can be far and few between.
