We need to stop talking about "art regression" like it's a real thing... No it is not a curse that will make you lose all your abilities one random day, yes it is posssible for you to lose some habits/abilities (bc you're not drawing as much, etc..) but no it's not the worst thing ever you can always correct it and even get better !

It's especially tiring bc the famous "regressors" like rcdart or puppychan are actually more so exemples of 1. stylistic choices and 2. the artist actively wanting to (only) draw certain things more than others (Puppychan wanted to draw sexy thighs and ass so obv the rest wasn't as good). Also Puppychan has gotten really good recently which just goes to show how ridiculous this fear of "regression" is. It just puts artists under a lot of pressure for no reason...

I’m starting to regress in art because I haven’t practiced in so long. I’ve been too fatigued and sick to focus on my hobbies. I’m more fighting to get through the day rather than improving my skills. I feel useless man.

This is my most recent finished drawing and I hate it. Her proportions are so off and the hands are so bad. I just couldn’t do it. I don’t know if it’s more like I don’t have the energy to spend time working on it or I’m just genuinely regressing.
