A Banishing / Protective Charm - The Keep Away Stone!
This is a little witchy DIY that you can do to create a magickal stone or rock charm. This particular charm is meant to be a banishing / protective charm, but by changing the colors of the crayons used, as well as changing the carved intent / sigils, you can completely customize this charm to suit virtually any magickal need. Don’t forget that you can use as many colors as you would like to in order to create the perfect stone for your witchy desires ^_^
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Supplies:
o A hairdryer or a taper candle
o A fork or spoon
o A large piece of wax paper or other protective and heat-resistant surface
o One or more stones; small if you want it to be portable or included in a spell, larger if you want to place it on a shelf or somewhere similar.
o One black crayon and one red crayon
o One paperclip, pushpin, or something to safely carve the crayon with
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Optional Supplies:
§ Clear Matte or Gloss Protective Coating
§ Banishing Herbal Mixture (Suggested: Basil, Bay Leaves, Black Pepper, Black Salt, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Steps:
1. Cleanse / purify your stone and your crayons; get them ready for their new jobs as your witchy tools.
2. Unwrap and prep your crayons. Carve your target’s name (or a sigil created for this taglock) into one end of the red crayon; your target a specific person, a group, or it can be ‘everyone’, if you want it to be. When you are finished with the red crayon, take the black crayon and carve a banishment order or banishing sigil into it; you can add a ‘distance’ that you would like the target to keep away, as well.
Smaller sigils may work better than long words for this step, unless you plan to be working with a larger stone, but if you can fit words, you can use them instead. Please check out my Sigils tag if you would like to read some tutorials regarding how different witches create sigils! ^_^
3. Place your wax paper on another heat-resistant surface, and place your stone in the center of the wax paper. Close your eyes and take a moment to meditate on what you would like to accomplish by creating this stone.
4. Take your crayons and either place them directly on top of the stone, or hold them carefully by the uncarved end directly over your stone. You can break the crayons in half if you have to; save any uncarved pieces of wax for a later spell, but use any bit of crayon that you have carved.
5. Plug in and turn on your hairdryer, or light your taper candle. Holding it close to your crayon, turn it on high until the wax begins to melt (this is why I suggest you place the crayons on the stone, but if you’re careful and working with full crayons, it is possible to do this while holding the crayons). You can melt both crayons at once, but if you start with one or the other, I suggest starting with the red crayon and ending with the black one.
6. Let the crayon drip on to the stone; once one side is fully covered, use your form or spoon to flip your stone over so that you can cover as much of the other side as your remaining wax will let you. While the crayon is dripping, focus on your banishing intent here; imagine how this stone will radiate your “get away” vibes, and let those vibes pour into the stone through the dripping wax.
7. Once your crayon is as melted as you want it to be, shut off your hairdryer or put out your candle, and set the remaining crayon on a far corner of the wax paper; you can save and use this for later, if you would like!
8. Give your stone some time to cool off and for the wax to solidify. Once it has done so, you can then spray it or glaze it with a clear protective coating of your choice ^_^
9. Optional Step: When your stone is finished, you can store it in or near the Banishing Herbal Mixture that is suggested in the Optional Supplies at the top of this spell!
10. Whenever you feel the need for some extra privacy or safety, touch or carry your Keep Away Stone, and let it amplify your ‘get away’ vibes! <3
Okay but what if...
I got rainwater and charged it w positive energy so I wouldn't get so down about stuff if things started going wrong with watercolors! Or i could carve little sigils in my clay before sculpting that were for good work or good animating for stop mo! Or you could put a sigil in a photoshop, maya, or toon boom layer and make it an invisible layer to activate!
