witchy container ideas
1. Jars: you can use these for any kind of spell, and they’re nice to look at!
2. Vials and small glass bottles: use for storing herbs, infused oil, or small charms.
3. Baskets: put all of your smaller stuff in baskets, small containers, etc.
4. Pockets: charms, papers with sigils written on them, other small items.
5. Altoid Tins or similar sized things: mini witch kits, altars, or shrines, witchy things, probably Tarot cards but I don’t know exactly how big they are, see @altoidskits for more ideas!!!
6. Bowls: if it’s fireproof you can use it to light incense, but you can also use it to store a lot of different things. you can charge them for certain purposes as well.
Reblog with more ideas if you want. :)
Old bottles (can also be plastic): For magic water like Moon water. Or for storing water like spring and ocean water.
Is there a spell or something for a lazy roommate who denies all the messes they make?
OOH don’t I know all about this.
Ok consider trying this:
1. Find a piece of paper-trash they’ve neglected to throw out (easy, right?)
2. Write “clean up your shit” on that piece of paper garbage.
3. Burn it. Save the ashes.
4. Take the ashes, mix it with salt, and a little bit of ground cayenne pepper.
5. Sprinkle it around their room (preferably when they’re not watching you do this…)
& voila. You’ve successfully lit a fire under your lazy roommate’s ass.

Things that are spiritually abusive
Telling people that if God isn’t answering they’re prayers it’s because they aren’t praying properly
Forcing people to conform to gender roles for their eternal benefit
Saying that one living person has all the answers to spiritual/religious questions and must be obeyed
Telling people that God will eternally punish them if they don’t do/believe what you tell them to
Telling people that God will eternally punish other people and that you are responsible for that if you don’t evangelize to them
Hell in general, really, but those two forms are the most toxic
Expecting people to fast to the point where it threatens their lives
Teaching people that they must reject science in order to believe in God
Reblogging again because this does not just apply to Christianity or even just to Abrahamic religions. Do not use your gods to abuse other people.
How to make your own natural herbal infused oil in a few easy steps. Make your own oils from scratch. Once made, these oils are suitable for a range of uses, they can be burned in a candle oil burner to add fragrance to the air, excellent to use at your altar instead of incense, use it to anoint candles for candle magic, add to baths for spell work purification and for silky and heavenly soaks, make it into perfume, use for a variety of skin conditions, use it as massage oil or even just a delicious cooking oil or salad dressing. See below for instructions. Use, olive, almond, sunflower or coconut oil work best. 1. Find a large, clear, clean glass jar or bottle with a tight lid. 2. Pack fresh, clean, whole herbs loosely into the jar, use any herbs you like or a mixture, you can experiment with smells and tastes or if you need a specific one for a spell or potion only use that. 3. Cover the herbs with oil. High quality olive oil is best, but any good quality vegetable oil will work. 4. Put the lid on as tightly as you can, and set the jar on a sunny windowsill - this is best done in the summertime, but can be done in winter if you have a window that gets maximum amount of light, even in winter. 5. Leave the jar on the windowsill for 30 days, shaking it gently once a day. 6. Find another large, clear, clean glass jar or bottle with a tight lid, a large funnel, and some cheesecloth. Pack the cheesecloth fairly tightly in the funnel. Set the funnel in the empty jar, and wrap some cheese cloth around where the mouth of the jar meets the funnel, to prevent spillage. You can also use a fine sieve but it won’t work as good. 7. Slowly pour the oil into the clean jar through the funnel. The cheesecloth will strain the herbs, letting the oil filter into the jar. Experiment with mixes. Fill the jar with a mix of chamomile, vanilla and lavender to ensure pleasant sleep. Mix vanilla and cinnamon to fill your kitchen with cooking scents. This does not make essential oil. Essential oils are the herbs compressed to make oil. This makes diluted oil. There is no need to further dilute this oil. Lavender is soothing, cinnamon invigorating, mint fresh. White willow bark has a spicy smell, sage is used by Native Americans for cleansing, chamomile is used to soothe and help sleep. Do some research about your favorite scents, and see what you can find. In the Autumn try using rosemary which also has astringent and healing properties as well. In the summer pick or purchase mint to make a refreshing oil White willow bark (or any kind of bark or nuts or roots) may need to be soaked in water first, left in the oil longer, and/or used as freshly as possible. Some herbs can be used dried, like cinnamon, but for the most part, dried herbs lose their essential oils, so best to use fresh. Store oil in a cool, dark place, and smell it occasionally. If it smells rancid, don’t use it.
The FAERIE QUEENE earrings are made with the naturally beautiful Elytra (wings) of the Green Jewel beetle (Sternocera aequisignata.) These earrings features the golden green mutation of the Jewel beetle. The surface of the elytra are shiny and iridescent, giving the effect of sunlight on oil-slick. Beetle wings have been used for centuries by Indian civilizations, cut into tiny spangle shapes to adorn a range of objects from garments and turban cloths, to canopies and book covers, their reflective properties admired as a means to ward off evil spirits. ✨🍃🌙🍂 ✨The wings make a wonderful tinkling sound when worn…like the sound of the faeries!✨ 🐞 BEETLE 🐞 “As with many insects the beetle goes through a tremendous metamorphosis from the grub stage to the winged. Because of this, it is associated with resurrection and change. In its winged stage, the front set of wings are thickened into hard covers which fold and protect the soft underside. This may indicate for those with this totem a need to be more protective, or possibly that you are too closed off.” ~~Ted Andrew || SHOP || www.spinningcastlestudios.com || #earrings #jewelry #beetle #elytra #wings #handmade #spell #protection #magick #talisman #SusanTooker #SpinningCastle

Ran’s Runes (divination tool in honor of the sea goddess)
From a dream I had. A plain mason jar with sand, shells, rocks and sea glass from our local shores. Added in small blue garden stones with runes painted on them. Simply turn and watch the changing sandscape until a rune - or several - are clearly visible to guide you. :)
Oh, wow. I like this.
Cutting the Cord- for negativity and moving on
I was asked by my psychic to consider forgiving my mother and asking the Archangel Michael to cut the cord that binds us. I don’t much believe in angels, but I do believe they are all just different names for spirits over time.
Items I used:
-purple taper for the goddess
-green taper candle for the god
-blue votive for me
-one small white candle (I use these tiny Kosher ones, but you can use a birthday candle too.)
-Virgin Woods incense
-one banishing blade
-one summoning blade
Light the blue votive candle for self. Use this flame to light the goddess and god candles and asking them to join you in this monumental stage in your life. Light the white candle with both the god and goddess candles. Take the blade you’ve established for summoning, and talk aloud about the good which this person has brought, no matter how dark the bad. Cite the experience they’ve brought, and how you are grateful for it. You forgive them, even if they are a giant idiot/toxic/terrible person. You harbor no ill will for them, and will leave them as such.
Set it down, take up the banishing blade. Blade flat and hopefully dull, hold it close and ask your guides to help you take out every last bit of negativity you cling to. We all do this, no matter how much you think you don’t we all hold onto something, so much so that it feels like an extension of yourself. Tell your guides you are ready to be rid of it all, once and for all. Take the flat of the blade, and carefully drag it over each of your chakras, demanding all negativity to be gone from you. Tell your guides you are ready to clear out all negativity and obstacles in your path, be they emotional, be they people, it doesn’t matter. You will not let anyone stand in the way of who you want to become.
Hold the blade many inches away from your neck behind you, and ask the spirit known as the Archangel Michael to cut the cord binding you to the toxic person you are forgiving, then physically cut the air behind your neck. Feel it all leaving, truly cut this cord. They are gone, they will no longer influence your life in any way at all.
This is not about forgiving a person who doesn’t deserve it. Its about letting go and moving forward in your life. Don’t do this spell until you are ready to make the huge leap and change you need to move forward. It will take time and work, but if the person you want to be is not who you are, then its time to let it all go, and truly transform yourself into that person.
Are you ready?
This is my little corner of the world. It needs a tidy up. I lean toward Kitchen witchcraft. I’ve pieced together some family heirlooms, locally sourced herbs and stones, and since this picture was taken I’ve added some crystals. Of course, some things are just there because they’re pretty!
