Bro it was such a struggle to look at my old ugly art I honestly don’t understand how you followed me back then when I drew so badly anyway thank you for supporting me all these years I hope my art keeps improving, Happy new year 🎉
Man 2024 was intense! I feel like I didn't really draw all that much this year? But looking at the four months I did art challenges (Artfight, Capyapril, The August Challenge & Eggtober) I definitely drew more than I probably would've x) I had so much fun with the August Challenge and I hope it carries on to 2025! I also got obsessed over MsPaint which was fun! Still eyeing it every time I feel like drawing aisdjf-- And Artfight was so wild? I'm still preening over how much art I got out to people! :D
This year was a real struggle with good art block too. I feel my art style was all over, I couldn't focus on finishing rendered pieces and the quality was meh-- But! I feel my technically skills/visual library really improved instead! I've been having worse health issues and can't say for sure how next year will be in terms of art/art improvement due to said brain issues, but I'm going to try and stay realistic and as positive as my energy permits. Take it maybe a little slower, figure out my limits and do the art that really matters to me/others.
That said, I had so much fun doing art challenges with my pals and other tumblr artists! I couldn't pick a single Artfight piece I did that I liked above the others so I just picked a Minecraft drawing I did-- sorry 😭 I love peoples OCs sm. I really wanna draw other peoples OCs more next year? It gives me life <3
And in terms of next year goals! I really want to draw other's ocs (hehe). I want to figure out my line art issues? I never feel confident with my lines and never really like the finished product so there's definitely work to be done there! Also, I'd love to draw some silly comics or short animations of my little guys as well! I think I need to work on my self discipline when it comes to long term projects?? And maybe get to posting some stuff on YT/Bsky? Because I have accounts that are just sitting there... Not sure, still figuring out where I want my art to go. Lastly, there's always just working on my OCs/world building that needs to be done too! Maybe even get their THs up and filled in :)
A lot of good stuff to do next year for sure! I hope you've all had a relaxing end to your year and here's to 2025! Remember even the "bare minimum" keeps you here, so it's just as important-- if not more-- then anything else. Keep hope close to you, it's a friend easily forgotten about, and don't be afraid to reach out! Having just one pal who can be there for you, and vice versa, can do wonders for your enclosure <3 Have a wonderful start to your 2025 everyone! You all really made the dreary dim compared to all the sillies we did together! :D
surprised i had something for each month- this has been a bad year for me and it got worse towards the end so im glad i was able to draw and i hope the new year is better 🥺,,,i also should post art here again more, i mainly post on other places,,,
