Sneaaaaaaking in with another art dumpppppp

From top to bottom we have: A shitty little doodle I did with [Redacted] and two rough designs of his bio kids, an updated scar reference sheet (although this one has his eyes hidden, and only two people have seen it without that), [Redacted] as a little kid, designs of two of the gods of his world (Ludeius and Stellei), a concept of something I’m toying with in his world, [Redacted] when he ascends eventually, a scene sketch of him and Milo immediately after the calamity ends (done prior to the reference sheet update which is why it isn’t accurate), and then as a treat for mostly myself, a design of an actual Sona.

There’s quite a bit of lore I need to talk about, and some stuff I’ve planned for him, but honestly I’m gonna try compiling it into a doc and just linking that later on. So here’s this- (maybe I’ll dump a bunch of art unrelated to this guy later)

aaaaand I’m here again with an art dump! Been hard at work redesigning both the saviors and some of the askblog characters I have (minor tweaks to both Niko and Tama, major stuff for others) and also just… art for the hell of it? So here’s some of that.

There’s some characters I’m still working on (Asa and Rizu come to mind, but also Shalara and younger [Redacted], but here’s a bunch of stuff.

From top to bottom: prism au redesigns (first 3), [Redacted] Redesign (4th) and a concept for later on in the story we’re calling The Reaper (5th), Zircon (Magrieus, 6th sketch), Seren (Astris, 7th sketch), and Viaan (Fultein, 8th sketch) redesigns, Sage redesign (wanted to lean more tiger with her, 9th), Aura design (10th), Theus design (11th), Sona redesign (12th), Milo redesign ([Redacted]’s dad as a reminder, 13th), Hoshi sketch (14th), Niko sketch (15th), TWM (I have decided to call mine Tama, 16th) sketch, and a design for one of [Redacted]’s kids (17th). Yaaaaaay.

So it’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared any art of my guys- but I’ve been doing some sketches of a bunch of them in an au (if any of you know what Prism is that’s the au) so I’m going to throw all of it here and disappear again. Have funnnnnn!

The one character I think might be confusing as to who they are is Tama, so just to clear that up, that’s Twm. They just look more human here (human is subjective…)

Beware the long infodump post…

So it’s been a hot minute since I’ve even said anything here so I’ve decided I am going to both art dump and drop some lore that I’ve worked out regarding both [Redacted] and Niko (and also Niko’s friends).

Uhhh I’ll start with a very important thing.

This is Milo. (He is part of a trio of Milo’s and I torment him daily) He’s effectively become [Redacted]’s adoptive father. Milo took care of him when he was a little kid and kinda raised him since [Redacted]’s parents weren’t around, and then officially adopted him after the calamity ended.

Also I killed him- he’s dead-

He died when [Redacted] was 20 because I’m just so kind to my boy.

And uh. Milo sketch. (Yeah that’s [Redacted]’s blood this is just after the end of the calamity where they all think [Redacted] is dead for a whole 10 minutes-)

I also sort of reworked the sketch I did where [Redacted] lost his arm during the abduction arc-

Kept it simple because my hand hasn’t been very kind to me recently.

There’s some other notes but the first one I’m going to put some screenshots since I wrote it down.

That is a thing that is happening (I’m designing those two characters it’s neat)

This next thing is more connected to Niko and Sage actually.

I’ve thought about the project Salvia thing I did for Sage a lot. I know there were multiple different people who donated dna to it, including the head scientist of the project.

One of the abilities I mentioned Sage had was the ability to basically gain additional types of magic due to being susceptible to the energy of it.

Then, without even realizing what I was doing, I effectively gave that exact same ability to Niko’s little sister Honoka (who gains similar light magic to Niko eventually, because fanfic of which I am actually still working on), and then just dismissed in my head as “Oh yeah her mom probably has that.”

Can you see where I might be going with this.

So basically a plotline I was going to go through with at some point and may do eventually if I come back to the Oneshot roleplay stuff is have Niko and Sage go explore the ruins of the labs she was created in, which are, funnily enough, near Niko’s home village.

And then come to the conclusion that they’re related (I would say half-siblings but given Sage’s whole thing it might be closer to like 1/4 siblings?)

That’s it that’s the lore stuff. I will now simply leave you with art and call it a day.

Most of this is au stuff, and one sketch in here was done by another person.

This was not done by me but I really like it so you’re getting it (it was a person on discord but I’m not sure if they’d want me to put their username so I won’t be doing that)

decided to go a little more space themed this time for fun. And also I wanted to try out putting more blue in their design this time around.

Alright, here he is. It’s different, bear with me.

There will be another post with explanations about what all has changed in regards to thinks like his powers, and why he’s a lot less colorful (less yellow, and it’s paler, there’s a reason). He’s still got a lot of his old powers (weapon summoning, light refraction, flashbanging people basically), but there are changes that I want to get into. That’ll come later.

On a completely separate note my friends have started making “Is he gay or European” jokes about him since he, just like all masculine characters I try to draw, is suffering from “all my characters look feminine” syndrome. They also called him, and I quote “The most masculine man in all of Western Europe” so do with that what you will?

So i was going to wait to show this off until i posted the next chapter but I’m particularly proud of how my shading techique worked out here, cause I tried something different. Think of it as a sneak peak.
