i redesigned the leafpool mini and the fact that i (someone who cannot draw chibis at all) did better than the wcs team is kind of telling ??

i'll probably post a better image with better colors when my tablet is charged that isn't just a screenshot, should i keep doing these?? i think im going to try cloudtail too at Least lol

idk what they’re planning on doing with nightheart but he reminds me quite a lot of earlier arc rootspring, and i think it would be interesting to give post-bris rootspring a look at he and bris’ relationship from her perspective now that he’s sort of stepped into her shoes with nightheart (in this situation, obviously, not in canon bc the erins would never). now root is the cat perceived as a hero by someone who heavily looks up to him, a cat who’s struggling with how he’s viewed in the clan for his legacy, a cat who’s bitter at his parent for “not understanding”, a cat that he sees himself in. but where rootspring has had time to mature and grow thanks to recent events, nightheart is Stuck in that phase, unable to even graduate into being seen as a fellow adult due to training delays and failed assessments.

maybe…. it’d be worth it to give him some guidance, and perhaps he’d even find what bris saw within him in the process.
