I have never done a black n white pastel pencil portrait drawing on black paper and i thought ‘oh i’ll do that, i’ve underestimated myself a few times, i can do this.’ Nooo, i underestimated this drawing of @danielhowell and not even a lottle bit. For now the hair is finished, maybe that I’ll add a bit more darknes to certain areas later. I’m not good at drawing hair but I’ve done worse. Now only the butterflies and background are left. I wanted to finish the background before starting on the butterflies but I’ve changed plans, because I’m still not certain about how I want the background, which colour (swipe left to see the three options) or that I’ll maybe try panpastels. Progress. Might have to make the face a bit darker but it’s not finished yet anyway. Will be drawing the eyebrow as last once the face is done so it looks weird now without it.
