‘Warlawoon country’ by Rammey Ramsay (2007) . “In the Dreamtime, Marroorara and Gooroo they stopped at this place. The bird and animal, they brought the trees down river to plant up Margaret River. The egert came along and told them to stop planting trees and to go plant up O’Donnell River. The Margaret River has no big fish like catfish, Barramundi swordfish sand crocodiles. It only has smaller fish like bony brown, rainbow perch and sleepy cod. This is the story about the two rivers and the trees that stopped at Nyalingi. At this place we cannot cut any of the freshwater mangrove or the corckwood trees. My grandmother passed this story on to me and I will pass it on to my grandchildren.” . #Art .
