#When browsing homes I can often see the history of the location based on the architecture#Puerto Rico really shows that so much with each house#A huge mix with the indigenous Taino and Spanish colonizers coming together to make the homes we see today#I live somewhere where metal bars are very common to prevent crime since we do not have any extreme weather beyond heat#But here they're used for that but also became of the extreme weather#The tropical storms have such high winds these bars protect their homes#But they also are there to help the home stay open for breezes while staying safe#Most of the home have a big outer stone to protect the inside where there is usually a multi family aspect to it similar to the Taino#The culture of PR comes through with the design of the bars and the colors of their homes#arthome
