Vielleicht deins?
Die Auktion läuft nur noch kurz:
Ive returned to my roots and started selling my used socks again
Is the high fashion industry trying too hard?
So many fashion weeks. Paris, Milan, London. New York, New York. Other places. Incoming and outgoing designers, Fashion Houses, models, celebrities, influencers. The Fall/Winter, Spring/Summer, the Ready to Wear, the Haute Couture collections. THOSE details, THAT designer. THE Label of the Year. The cuts, the fabrics, the textures and structures, the beads - oh but have you seen the silhouette? You should. It is phenomenal. So many fashion critics and critiques these days - both with and without qualifications, work experience and skillset, mind you - but who cares? They have the followership, so that's fine. These days, these fashion social-mediaists, have a pre-show runway-lookbook themselves: oh look at me, look at what I wore to NYFW, hashtag brands, exposure and algorithm. At the end of the day (and of course awkwardly side-stepping the ethical and highly significant issues of production, consumption and sustainability), where are we, actually, with fashion? Are we living in a time where the competitiveness to one-up has made fashion - and the industry - for lack of a better word, boring? Is everyone trying too hard? In an oversaturated industry and, therefore flooded market, is the desperation to stand out making it all a bit .. meh?
What is your current assessment of the high fashion industry?
It is meh
It is progressive

Endnote: (1) Alternatively, if the point of the fashion industry is not to stand out, what even is the point? (2) Is there a difference between high fashion and luxury fashion?
It's old but this is what I paired with those shoes I mentioned in another post before they broke!! I'm still super sad about it and I'm determined to find a way to fix it!

Today’s outfit is very 70’s/Western themed. I woke up late this morning and knew I wanted to wear these pants and when I saw this vest in my closet, I had a quick passing thought that this shirt would be a great addition to the overall look. I love it when the translation from outfit ideas turns out exactly how I imagine.
Was it a coincidence that I also ran into a man wearing a cowboy hat at that gas station this morning? Or a sign this was the right outfit for the day?
Shirt, vest, belt and shoes from the Goodwill.
I found this vest around Christmas last year with a ton of other western style items and it was an instant love!
Let’s also talk about the cute details on this top. And I will tell you a secret, I’m wearing it backwards 🤫
This stripped tie detail was designed for the back of the shirt but I absolutely adore the way it looks like a scarf when it’s in the front. It’s giving 70’s flight attendant or maybe receptionist.
I’m also a huge fan of mixing patterns. The black and white strips with the thin cheetah belt and let’s not forget about the cute floral details on the shoes.
I think I like the overall look better with my hair pulled back.
