There are A LOT of things to protect Gravira from actually! He is powerful BUT he is not trained to use his powers. Not to mention they are more worried about protecting him from ideologies of other people more so physical harm. Shown above though are the four individuals that Gravira is most likely going to meet at meetings c:

Articus is literally Gravira’s god. The god of order is the patron of the Artician, Obesidax, and Morgus. He has authority over them and all three races are dedicated to the protection of order and forcing order upon others.
Aitcus’s look has been updated as I wanted him more rounded and sort of a robust figure more, but still looks a proper warrior. Although he is patient with people and tends to come off as a caring figure, his only concern is making order out of chaos. EVERYTHING must be structured and put together. Anything he touches returns to its “proper order”. If you break a vase, he can put it together. This need for order though also is his flaw as he can be very black and white about things and will overlook personal well-being of others in the interest of order.
His sister is Nadimalta, the embodiment of chaos and to say the least...the two don’t get along and have long since been engaged in a conflict for which side is stronger.
Gravira is the figurehead emperor of the Obesidax, often going to meetings with a few mothers whispering instructs on what he is to say, but there are two other leaders on the counsel of order.
Representing the Morgus is Queen Sees-Much-And-Is-Never-Impressed, a tough as nails she-dragon who has lead her people for over one hundred years. Loud and stubborn, she stands her ground and refuses to back down, prone to smacking things with her staff and, like most of her species, prone to lots of gnashing and teeth chattering when upset. She is considered still quiet beautiful in her old age, very plump! A morgus that is small and not very rounded is unhealthy so she is in very good health c: Like most of her species, she has a very healthy and big appetite and does her best to remember manners when devouring her way through a banquet. She proudly claims to be the mother of over 200 Morgus.
Her name is typical of Morgus. They get their name at a ceremony when they hit puberty where they are given their name by the elders.
Next we have the other leader who represents the Articians, the Prince Primius, Vermithius. He is the most powerful of the princes, the most dedicated of paladins to Articus, and was appointed by said god of order personally above all his brothers and sisters. He is not very interested in pursing mates, asexual identifying, and thus focuses his time and energy into affairs of the state and in pursuing close friendships. He is very polite by nature and is often the one that is sought out for advice by his kin.
His devotion to Articus is without quesiton, but at times he is not so blind a follower as not to see when things perhaps are being carried out and putting a lot more at risk than necessary. He tends to passively try to move politics away from more extreme measures in the interest of preserving life, not just order.
Now onto the last person..... the dread Empress Zetsu. What can be said about her? PURE. EVIL.
She is bad to the bone, black of heart, absolutely shamelessly evil and awful with no ounce of regret or guilt for anything she has done in life. Of all the rulers of Obscura, she is known as the the most vile but the most powerful as she controls the most territory and land. She managed to secure a marriage to Articus by using his need to create order against him, citing if he married her, he would have more “control” of her “chaotic” actions.
Hook, line, and sinker. She does just enough to keep him satisfied while still pushing her agenda.
Zetsu is the last female celestial, a race of immortal divine beings related to angels who once ruled over many kingdoms that each one built themselves. It used to be each celestial minded their own people/race they created in their own corner of Obscura, that is, until Zetsu rose to power. She slaughtered all of them and consolidated their lands, untied all those races and people into one empire that continues to run strong. She caught he nickname of the Kinslayer for the murder of her entire species.
She is evil but she is a political genius, and she comes to counsel gathering and it is sh that the Obesidax fear the most. Gravira is powerful but he is naive and innocent, kept in a bubble. If someone with terrible intentions or desire to use his power came in to pop his bubble and lure him to their side, it would be laughably easy. Thus the bodyguards are there to ensure NO ONE speaks to Gravira and he is not corrupted.
