a fire breathing dinosaur is just a weird dragon. fact. especially because the origin of dragons is often said to be medieval misreading of dinosaur bones. the two are inseparable

they are literally canonically classified as dinosaurs and there is a completely different species subset for dragon digimon that sets the two into distinct groups

like, dinosaurs and dragons are both in the series and are considered to be wholly different things in the same vein as rock and ground pokemon
