oh i should explain this to nonpokemon people actually. ok these are the guys left is whimsicott right is mega staraptor

whimsicott has access to an ability called prankster (which makes status moves go first like quick attack) as well as a bunch of pretty good status moves that lower stats like charm (-2 attack) fake tears (-2 special def) and tickle (-1 atk and -1 def) (also has tailwind which makes you go faster for like 4 turns which is good)

and mega STARAPTOR has an ability called CONTRARY which swaps stats being lowered and stats being boosted. so if you try and lower its stats itll boost em instead and etc

so people are going into double battles with these two. and getting the little tiny whimsicott to charm and tickle this giant fuckoff bird to make its stats go UP and it is incredibly funny

ramblings just about this AU, basically it's not an actual story at all just a cool way to examine how these characters stories sort of match up for fun

jayfeather as kris

blue and brooding... need i say more

both seem to serve as the leader of their group, kris perhaps a little more strongly than jayf

big themes in their stories are acting for the will of a greater power, kris acting for the player/soul and jayfeather acting for starclan/the prophecy. they feel they have little say what they can do or be, in jayf's case not just because of starclan but because of his disability and how his clan treats him

always seems to know more than the others

dovewing as noelle

personality wise they just align pretty well, both sweet and soft, anxious about doing the right thing/living up to expectations

i like the headcanon that dovewing the most powerful of the three, and this seems to align with noelle being the most powerful (probably) in the game as well, especially in the weird route. weird route also closely aligns with dovewing's themes of being "used up:" how she is forced into a role by jayfeather and lionblaze/starclan/the prophecy (similar to how noelle is forced by the player/soul), helps saves the clan, then is cast aside, losing her powers

personality wise they aren't too similar but values/story wise they're scarily identical lol

obsessed with following the way things "have" to be: with hollyleaf its the warrior code, with ralsei its the prophecy, and neither can even imagine anything existing outside of it (at first)

hollyleaf being a darkner is just So good

apart from her best friends/brothers, forced to watch them live their lives from the outside, wishing she could be a part of it, and feeling a little bit like a fourth wheel when thinking of the others interacting (jay and lion with dove, and kris and susie with noelle), and have quietly accepted this is the way things have to be

definitely have the potential to just completely lose it and kill a guy

i know people might be mad about this one so yes i apologize, i know susie is way cooler than lionblaze, and admittedly this one probably fits the least, but uhhh i didn't really have anything else to do with them lol. i could have made ivy susie but their personalities and stories didn't align too well to me, and ivy!knight seemed way more logical considering dove is noelle

but for similarities, both perceive themselves to useful only for hurting/attacking (at first) and embrace it, unable to see themselves as anything else

both are considered to be not the brightest but have a lot more intelligence than the people around them (and the fandom ngl) usually rememebr

usually content with looking to jayf/kris for answers/direction

eh idk i feel like there could be more but yeah like i said this was sort of weaksauce

ivypool as knight maybe?

just sort of seems logical since dove is noelle. haven't developed this too much but yeah ivy and dess seem to sort of align pretty well personality wise, also the double agent dark forest stuff would work well with this

edit: only just realized i was fully 100% assuming dess is the knight lol. in case you cant tell i am a dessknight truther but ig since we dont know who it is the knight could be anyone in this au idk. rock!knight anyone
