Little Sky Bakery, 170 State St, Los Altos, CA 94022

Little Sky Bakery’s baked goods run large, like large enough to feed a family. I visited their stall inside the State Street Market and spotted loaves of bread (e.g., pain de mie, rye, olive rosemary sourdough, country sourdough, baguettes), sourdough scones, giant cookies, muffins, and sandwiches. Their breads are naturally leavened with wild yeast. The sandwiches are made with their bread.

Tofu & shiitake mando ($7): It’s like a thin-skinned, chewy bun/bao that’s been stuffed and pan fried till golden. The flavors were definitely Asian. The filling is like something you’d find in a dumpling: scallions, tofu, mushroom, ginger I think…really good and a great snack or a light meal. Ample filling!

Baked goods are baked fresh daily at the Menlo Park bakery. They also have a stall at various farmer’s markets.

this one, I found out through cypriot and proud. thank you dear once again:) I was searching for something else on her website and I found the review of this artisan bakery, read it and thought, ok now that I am (not officially) a limassolian, I have to visit as many new places or places that I haven’t been to yet, as I can! 

psomi kai alati is a very small neighborhood bakery shop, owned by mr. evros, a very welcoming kind man, who greeted me with a smile and explained to me all of their baked goods, with various flours, their philosophy and ok, I have to admit it. the main reason that I wanted to visit, was the tahinopitta. and I must say, it was way worth it:) although K wanted more tahini in some parts, for me this was perfect. almost like a cake! very soft, smooth taste, sweet, but not too much (making you wanting more:) 

I also bought a bread with yeast (but forgive me as I don’t remember what else:), but the taste I remember:) very good, fresh, rich, yet subtle. I could just eat it plain like that. but, I will try it with honey too!

and some biscuits, just to check them out, which were fairly ok and oh, mr. evros gave me a treat, a traditional olive pie bite, but of course I ate it on the spot and no pic of that:) 

visit the place or call in advance if you want to place an order, especially if you go in the afternoon, as they may run out of goodies.

excuse the bites. I arrived home at night, so I didn’t want to take any pictures at the time. at the same time we wanted to taste everything on the spot. so there you go. tried and tested:)
