Silk Road
This probably would be my last set up for final show , maybe some small changes. As the audience come to the room, they get interact with different installed art. Clothes are presenting the identity of regions. Both are carrying their cultural and political details. The right vest is symbolising the handmade clothes with traditional geometric pattern, which it use to be made by local artisan in North of Iran, but today replaced by fast fashion items.
On the left side the vest is symbolised the consumers need and their expectation toward fashion object in western country . A simple, but eye caching, easy access product in Mango or Zara shop, something that doesn't symbolise any cultural identity. It seems there is unsureness about the value of cultural identity in the world today as it is be ignored.
Shadows of the object whether appearing on the wall or on the viewers all confirming the connection between Subjects in the room and individual experience.
Clothes are more than a piece of fabric as Virgina Woolf Says “ Vain trifles as they seem, clothes have , they say, more important offices that merely to keep us warm. They change our view of the world and the world’s view of us... there is much to support the view that it is clothes that wear us and not we them; we may make them take the mould of arm or breast, but they mould our heart, our brains, our tongues to their liking”

Clothes can carry significant details by their shape , colours, patterns which can be representation of societies. We have to reconsider this values as today is effected by fast fashion.
