As a woman, specifically a water sign, I hate it when people don't bother giving me gifts that I want. There are so many things that I wish I could have but can't have due to budget and other constraints, and I wish that I could get them as gifts, but it always ends up in disappointment
For years, I've been wishing for a matcha prep set (the bowl, the tea, whisk, etc), artisanal tea, a new hair curler, cute but simple kitchenware like a cheap yet beautiful set of spoons or even a box of macarons. But I ended up getting only a dress and a set of earrings.
It's not that I'm not grateful, it's just that it hurts that people don't bother to notice that I'm giving major signals (such as talking about it nonstop, mentioning that I wish for it)
