As a black man, this past decade has disappointed me in more ways than one. One of these disappointments has been poor utilization of black characters being placed at the forefront of massive franchises.

And I'm sure there might be plenty others that I may have overlooked/forgotten.

The point is that it's tiresome getting one hopes up that we'll see some great representation, excellent storytelling, engaging characterization, and much more. Only to be disappointed... again.

I still have hope that one day it'll get better, but I'm doubtful that it'll be anytime soon.
