The Peppermint Dream Rum Cocktail
Last week, I worked on an article for Artisans List about all the stories behind vintage restaurant ware. The whole entire process of writing and photographing the dishes felt like an adventure. It’s amazing how many stories can stem from one plate or one platter or one cup or one bowl. By week’s end it felt like I had been on travel trip myself back in time:) So excited to share the post when it comes out. Stay tuned... . . . . . . #restaurantware #artisanslist #timetravel #vintagedishware #writingtopics #storiesfromhistory #summertravels #travelbackintime #yellowsuitcase https://www.instagram.com/p/CClmiZuJzKW/?igshid=hgfq2ngrxkhf
Nothing announces a little bit of excitement quite like a plate of homemade cheese;) This past week I officially joined the Artisans List @artisanslist editorial team! 🎈That means more articles and more posts about Vintage Kitchen topics and a little library of my writings on their site. To celebrate the joy of collaborating with this lovely team I made one of their recipes yesterday... a food staple that has been a part of farmhouse kitchens for centuries... homemade farm cheese! It took less than 30 minutes to prepare + 2 hours to hang dry and was made with just three ingredients: whole milk, vinegar and salt. Who new homemade, first-time cheese making could be so easy?! And then taste so delicious? Back on farms of yesteryear this was a thrifty way to use up fresh milk that had separated from the cream, but now it seems like a decadent treat. Pillowy and subtle like ricotta, firm and creamy like fresh mozzarella, it’s a delightful culinary adventure definitely worth trying. I look forward to sharing with you so many fun new Artisans List inspired endeavors throughout the year just like this one. 🐄 If you want to become your own cheesemaker too, find this recipe video on their feed @artisanslist Hope you love it just as much! . . . . . #farmerscheese #homemadecheese #artisanslist #writinglife #collaboration #editorialstyle #cheese #farmcheese #homemadefood #farmhousestyle #farmfood https://www.instagram.com/p/CBcNps8Ak-I/?igshid=x99n90wx2e99
So excited to be collaborating with @artisanslist on some vintage recipe stories! The first one was published yesterday on their site and is all about the art of the vintage picnic.
