Me everytime I get notes on something:
‘Deez Nutz’
Someone should just take away my ability to look at pictures of Adrian, because it always gets me so pumped and I wanna draw a great picture of him.
And then I remember that I suck at drawing people flying and I can't ever be happy with how I draw him. It is hard to be an artist....
Ugh I just can’t get hero Addi’s colors right

Do you prefer traditional drawing, or digital?I currently prefer digital over traditional, mostly because I have easier access to it and it's not as much of hassle to get done, looks cleaner and doesn't make me frustrated over bad inking as much. I do still enjoy working with pen and paper, especially with watercolors.
How long have you been drawing?
About ten years now. My drawing style is still wonky as hell.
Do you draw more today than you did in the past, or do you draw less?
Well, it somewhat depends on the day. I do draw less now than when I was in elementary school, but quality has gotten over quantity. I think its not a bad thing really, since steady progress has been the reward of the time I've put into drawing.
What are you currently trying to improve on?
I always tell myself that I should get better at drawing hands, backgrounds, perspective, shading, lighting, get a better grasp at anatomy etc. I just always forget this stuff and just kinda draw stuff and cry forever when I feel like I majorly fucked up something.
Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?
I prefer music or a podcast I can listen to while working. Sometimes let's play videos go too and I watch from the corner of my eye while doing my stuff. I have a lot of trouble finding good new songs, though... That kinda sucks about it.
For digital artists: how many layers does a typical piece require?
I don't actually remember my record number of layers I have used, but usually I manage to stay under 20. Most often I'd say 7-13 layers.
What inspires you to not just make art, but to be a better artist?
When I started drawing, I did it because it was fun. Now years later, I do it because of that, because I'm at least somewhat good at it and because I have always loved cartoons and comics. Cartoons especially always facinated me as a kid, something that has stayed to this day. If you want to get me into something, I'm most likely going to get interested if its a game or an animated show/anime/animated movie.
I think the angularity to my style comes from watching Powerpuff Girls when I was younger. I really loved the show and the way it used sharp edges. It just seemed stylish to me. Of course, years later I got into anime/manga and that has been a big influence also. These days my style is a bit more neutral looking, but I find it as a good thing.
What motivates me to get better... Now thats a hard one. I don't think about getting better really. If I worry about it too much, I just start to feel bad about myself. I let stuff go on it's own pace, and if I happen to run into a problem, I solve it then. I have noticed how one year can make a whole world of difference in drawing, so I know that I have improved once I look back and cry bloody tears over the horrible crap I used to draw ||'3 Ah, being an artist. Such fun...
garbadork replied to your photo:Just something I started today, probably going to...
He looks AATTTRACTIVE to me here and I’m thoroughly upset by this (I’m not, he looks great!! :D))
Pfft, well, Gobby has pretty nice features, I give him that 8'D But still mean spirited as all hell though.
I should be reading for the matriculation exam but goddamn it, I saw a dream about blue vampires with rainbow blood. Forget Twilight, Rainbow vamps are here and good god I wanna draw one ;w;
